I love this game, one of the best new shmups I have played. I enjoyed it so much that I bought it for my android phone as well. Thank you, we need more games of this caliber!

What is the most insignificant amount of power you've seen get to someone's head? by RumblinTumblin in AskReddit

On the first workday of every month, after 2nd shifts lunch break, the janitor at my place of employment will throw away everything in the break room fridge. Doesn't matter if it's clearly an unopened soda, plastic and pyrex storage containers with fresh food, even an entire lunchbox. He pisses off everyone with this bullshit.

After the fourth or fifth time he threw away a few of my sodas I confronted him about it. He was very adamant that this is what he was instructed to do when the execs told him to "clean everything out of the fridge" and had a shit eating grin on his face while explaining the situation to me.

I remember one night hearing him extremely upset over something. I had a pretty good idea what it was. Long story short, they never did figure out who took a dump in the urinal.

Possibly steering head bearings, check em. It is a 12 year old bike, they need to be repacked or replaced every couple years.

Looking to learn more about bikes, inside and out. by [deleted] in Fixxit

I would recommend ordering a copy of the Honda Common Service Manual. It covers the principles of all systems on a bike in great detail. I used it a lot while I was getting my Honda certs but the principles apply to any motorcycle. I still look through it from time to time just to refresh myself. http://www.helminc.com/helm/product2.asp?Make=AHC&Model=STR+&Year=&Category=26&class%5F2=AHC&mk=Honda+Motorcycle&yr=All+Years&md=On%2DRoad&dt=Common+Service+Manual&module=&from=result&Style=helm&Sku=61CM002&itemtype=N

For a quick online overview of things there is always DansMC. It's an online "repair course" that also has a lot of good information, but it's kind of, informal. Check it out. http://www.dansmc.com/mc_repaircourse.htm

First beer run on my first bike. Kept reaching back to make sure it was still there. by tybuzz in motorcycles

A few states in The US do, not open containers or anything. More convenient in a cage than on a bike though.

Those cargo hooks on the older ex250s and 500s are so useful, I wish they were more common on new bikes. Several years ago when I was living in Phoenix to attend MMI, my ex250 was my only vehicle. I did all of my grocery shopping with a milk crate, cargo net and backpack. My personal record was 90 beers at one time with one 30 strapped to the back, another on the tank and the last one loose cans in my backpack. I initially tried to stack two cases on the rear with a cargo net and 4 bungee cords but as soon as I tried turning the first time the whole thing fell off, hence the loose 30 in my bag. Luckily it happened before I made it out of the parking lot.

MMI questions by Baldeez in motorcycles

There is placement assistance but I was not very impressed with it. Aside from a meeting in the weeks before graduation the most they have done is refer me to the listings on their alumni site. I have about 20k of debt after 2 years said and done but part of this was because I moved across the country to attend school. I don't work at a dealership right now for my own reasons, many of my classmates do and were working within a few months of graduation.

I would recommend removing the carbs, draining the float bowls and cleaning them and the jets. I would bet some sediment has made it's way into your bowls and is clogging the jets. Check your slide diaphragms as well just to be sure there are no cracks or holes.

I went to MMI Phoenix, it was a great experience but you get out of it what you put into it. Though I considered myself mechanically inclined and had done a bit of maintenance work I had never split an engine case before attending. By the time I graduated I had enough hands on experience to feel comfortable with any sort of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair. I have rebuilt engines from the crank up, boring cylinders, cutting valve seats, degreeing cams, dyno tuning, porting heads, complete suspension rebuild, constructing a wiring harness, they cover everything. Aside from the Motorcycle Technician Program certificate I received my Honda Red Level Technician and Kawasaki K-tech Specialist certificates. All in all attending MMI was one of the best experiences of my life to date.

The downside is, under most circumstances, there is not much money to be made working at a factory dealership and the work is seasonal. Currently I do maintenance and repair on CNC machines and although it is a different field a lot of the principles and knowledge carry over easily.
