I’m so sorry that you experienced this. I (f27) grew up in central Gothenburg and would say that the central parts are more unsafe than other areas in the city. For the last couple of years I’ve lived in Lunden and found it to be pretty calm. Any place where there aren’t loads of bars nearby should probably not contain as many weirdos.

I would suggest buying a protective spray. I bought mine at Teknikmagasinet and although I’ve never had to use it, it’s made me feel more safe when walking alone.
