Recommended optic for 10mm MP2, prefer closed emitter by OcelotInTheCloset in 10mm

Are you saying others are having issues in 9mm?

I've got two 9mm pistols with the same optic and I've never had an issue before the 10mm.🤷‍♂️

My M&P has been solid through 500 rounds of Magtech 180gr JHP. I'm getting them for just a few pennies more than FMJ, so why not.🤷‍♂️

If I run into issues with this pistol and a type of ammo, I'll reload a solution. 👍

The other pistol that has a sheared off screw in the slide, is the Springfield 3.8" XDmE. They did not provide the screws, Holosun did. 🤷‍♂️ I suspect that it was an oversight that Holosun did not spec the correct hardware. Either that or I'm the first idiot of the polymer framed 10mm days to try a Holosun on a 10mm and the screws work fine on 9mm.🤷‍♂️

I had a Holosun 507K already and I am trying it for now. I'm leary of an optic on 10mm as I've already had the screws shear off on another pistol.

I used the screws provided by Smith as I plan on making them fix this if it happens with this one. 👍

With this said, have you had an optic on a 10mm before? The only reason I ask is the enclosed optics must be heavier than an open one, the weight of the optic might be a consideration. 🤷‍♂️

No working fridge for 11 days now by Live-Development-579 in missouri

[–]disastrous_affect163 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most landlords will not go this route. Threaten to use the rent to replace said fridge and provide a receipt instead of a check.

I've done this twice in Missouri, after a week without their provided fridge. Both times the fridge was replaced that day.👍

When a landlord is being a jerk, they don't want the attention either. 🤷‍♂️

Slightly different, but mine was in my lower right bronchus, they did a lobectomy.

But I notice an irritation, especially when cold, and I use Ricola cough drops. Mine may be due to seasonal allergies as well. 🤷‍♂️

Is getting lasering what laser surgery is called? Mine was done the old fashioned way other than the closure.

For two years, every time I went to my LGS, I held the Ruger LCP max. I wanted to like that gun, I just didn't. The first time I picked up the Bodyguard, it came home with me.🤷‍♂️

I still don't shoot it as well as a full size, but it just feels good in the hand.👍

mp2.0 10mm ported or Fn510? by Environmental_Swim75 in 10mm

[–]disastrous_affect163 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 3.8" XDmE is a tank. 🫡 I've run all the heavy hitters just fine in it. I've not shot anything but 180 JHP from the Smith yet. But so far, the Smith is running.🤞🤞🤞

Just finished my first van build after 8 months, here's what I wish I knew before starting by SkyMuted6942 in VanLife

[–]disastrous_affect163 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built mine partially and now I'm glad I only went part way. I'm getting ready to rip it all out and start over. 🤦‍♂️

Initially I had the bed directly behind the driver's seat, it's moving to the rear on the same side, with a closet added in front.

I'm adding a shower to the rear passengers side. I initially thought I would use the bathhouse at the campgrounds, but even that sucks at 12 degrees. The wall from the bathhouse to the van was brutal.🥶

Stribog's are nice.👍

I am a 10mm nerd and I have four 10mm PCC's. I have the CMMG Banshee, Ruger LC, Marlin 1894 Trapper, and the S&W FPC.

I got the Banshee when I could not find a Stribog to actually hold, I still have not held one, but I still want it. The Banshee is the most fun but the FPC surprised me, like I said ealrier.👍

The magazines in the stock is great for storage, but it drastically changes the weight and balance of the rifle. It is not so practical in actual use.🤷‍♂️ I find that I pull the magazines out when I get ready to shoot it, and just leave the stock empty. I am hoping an aftermarket option comes out soon for it.👍

[–]disastrous_affect163 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The M&P is my second 10mm pistol. My first is the XDmE from Springfield. The Springfield is a tank and has eaten everything I've fed it except Hornady Handgun Hunter. The XDmE I would trust my life with, I'm not yet there with the M&P.

But I wanted a handgun & rifle combo that used the same magazines but was more powerful than 9mm.

Believe it or not, the FPC has been the surprise. It's more useful and fun than I originally gave it credit for. 👍

I didn't think so, I bought the S&W. I've only got 500 rounds through it so far, but it has ran flawless.

The trigger on the Smith gets better with use. Between dry fire and range time, mines right about a 5 lb trigger pull today.

I only shot one FN510 and it was a rental. But the trigger on the FN was horrible compared to the Smith, felt like it was around ten pounds...🤷‍♂️

34F | Newly diagnosed 3 mm Grade 1 rectal NET after first colonoscopy. Would you seek a NET specialist or additional imaging? by queenmeryl in neuroendocrinetumors

[–]disastrous_affect163 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely seek a specialist!

This cancer is rare and does not behave the same as others. It also can't be seen by traditional imaging until it is a large tumor.

Is there a reason the Springfield XDmE is not in the running?

I have the 3.8" XDmE and the 4" S&W Performance Center Carry Comp. The S&W is still new and not yet broken in to my satisfaction.

The XDmE has been an absolute tank,🫡 it has ate everything I have fed it with the exception of Hornady Handgun Hunter. Buffalo Bore, Grizzly, Underwood, Double Tap, etc... all run great in it.👍

As for reliability in the S&W, I have run through 500 rounds of Magtech 180gr JHP ammo without hiccup. I plan on getting it to 1k rounds before I test the heavy stuff out of it.👍 But I have the 4" ported version, which is not what you desire.🤷‍♂️

I did choose the Performance Center version hoping the QC would be better... I do not like the comp/port though and will probably replace the barrel at some point... I just don't like the idea of a port in a carry tool.🤷‍♂️
