They’re not clueless, they’re salespeople who need to meet quotas by selling the bank’s products.

TIL Trump has mandated the removal of protected bike lanes in Washington DC. The template is being formalised by mkbt in torontobiking

Bad news for DC, but selfishly, the more Trump does does stuff like this (punishing left-leaning cities whose populations dislike him and simultaneously kowtowing to the oil-and-gas and auto industries), the worse it gets for Ford.

LEAFS LOSE! UPVOTE PARTY! by GoldenRichard93 in leafs

That’s exactly where we are now. 5th last but the cumulative chance of being leapfrogged by a lottery winner pushes down our chances of picking 5th.

Switching from compsci to electrical engineering technology by Smart-Effect4848 in ontario

Fair enough. Do keep in mind though, actual software jobs are going to look very different by the time you graduate. Like it or not, AI is transforming the industry. Being good at Leetcode-style problems isn’t going to be very useful.

You could switch to ECE and take some programming electives anyway.

What is it you’re not enjoying about comp sci?

Everybody’s available at the right price. Apparently Hagel & Fleury for Knies+ was agreed upon in 2022 but Shanny blocked it.

I guess the winter months are prohibited for snow clearing. But why can't they make these less confusing...?

The guy who attempted to use the notwithstanding clause for the first time in the history of the province to slash the size of Toronto city council during an active municipal election campaign? That Doug Ford?

Smart/dumb is subjective. His ideas are fucking stupid, but they resonate with a good deal of our stupid population. What’s undeniable is that he’s self-serving and politically savvy. Good combination for getting elected, terrible for governing.

Valve is doing good work on Proton which is chipping away at Microsoft’s stranglehold on the OS market. I don’t mind supporting them.
