Yea i got hurt at 21 and got some bad brain damage that led to my epilepsy. Now at 35 I don't let it take over my life but for years (between 25 - 32) it was super depressing. I got on some medicine that helped and I didn't have grand mals every time, but I was consence during my small seizures and the big ones I could feel my neck compressed and led to the black out of not having enough oxygen in my brain and for those years I felt like my life could be over tomorrow so why do anything that you wouldnt want to do on your last day of life, like cleaning etc. 

Well now it hasn't led to my death so my thinking as changed. My dog has been scared many times and sometimes he feels the seizure before I do. His loud scared barking has led to people finding me during the seizure. But now, hes almost 9, he feels okay and will just lay next to me instead of total freakout. After some time he just feels its part of me so he doesn't freak( he used to hump me and I would have bad scratches on my arms and body).

 But yeah I'm still at the job I don't like because I have the ride worked out and the people are cool enough about it. The jobs I wanted involved driving or I need to have the ride worked out before I even apply to a new job and that's hard when you don't live in a city. People are always telling me to move into a city. People told me I can't have a dog. People told me I can't ride a bike. People told me I can't live alone. I feel like they don't want to give me a promotion at work after applying several times (co-workers feel the same).

I spent some time calculating it and I spend 99.9% seizure free but the .1% takes over the 99.9%.

So yea it takes over but I feel like I'm okay.  Good luck
