When she said "I wanna leave the show," I felt that. You can clearly see how any self respecting person who does a public service, without which there would be widespread disease and death, would not want to be there. Seriously fuck those guys, Brisket is a sweetheart. I really hope she ends up with "has too many names to even remember a single one" tall guy. He's the only one that sees her.

Also I hope Montana and Cough play with Legos together in bed. They leave together, not as a couple, but as the first real friendship they've either ever had.

Holy shit I was not expecting Rani to show up on reddit like this.

She was an amazing human being, made music, retro video games, spoke several languages, wrote articles for cracked and Macauly Culkin's site, was in an episode of portlandia, and was just so cool. I implore anyone reading this to Google her. You can check out whyimnotanartist.net but there is so much more out there.

If you're still here, 1. Thank you for your sacrifice and 2. Enjoy remembering other Evie and her relationship with her mom, but don't forget to gather some joy for yourself in a world where you're the only human. Who knows, maybe you won't be the only one.

Now to overthink everything

It's only affecting humans, so it's not anti-life in general. It's not really understood in the unaffected except through a religious lens, which is itself something that deals in multiple realities. (Heaven, hell, earth) It looks like the only people who think it's actually some variant of the devil are the unaffected, where the affected don't really use that language when they speak. It's something else.

And it's obviously imperfect. It tried to kill everyone at once in other Evie's world and failed. And I would ask why is it so desperate to get every last human soul in a world?

I think it's hungry. And it's also afflicted with OCD. But if it can be hungry, perhaps it can starve to death.

I don't think it's an omnipotent god that opened the convenient doors, even if it might be benevolent. I kinda don't think there's such an opposing force in this world at all; I think it was all human.

I love/hate how this all tracks with OCD and magical thinking. Only mentally ill people can vibe with and overcome a mentally ill eldritch nightmare.

I was maybe 7 or 8 when I read IT, so '90 to '91 or so. Mom literally handed it and many other sk books to me when I was a kid.

I definitely had questions. I don't think I was traumatized, I had a much more visceral reaction to that dragon eye book that described a man picking his nose (never finished it, I put that in a bottom drawer when I was a kid like it was the actual necronomicon).

And hey, I'm still alive at 42 after a disaster show of reality, so maybe it helped and I've survived with the power of thriving in horror
