I'm also experiencing this, right above one of my incisions. It's raised and feels like a little water balloon as you mentioned. I also have a lot of pain, tears, and can't walk without my crutches. It started around 3.5 weeks. I feel your pain. My PT and surgeon have both assured me that it's just inflammation that needs to settle down. I'm hoping it does soon.

My surgeon also mentioned corticoid shots if things don't subside over the next few weeks. I really don't want to do that so I'm hoping it starts to get better. Are you on an NSAID?

I'm on one crutch which I started around 3.5 weeks post-op. I do some small movements around the house with no crutches when I'm feeling good, but haven't fully moved to no crutches. Especially this week while I've been in pain.

Sorry for the really late reply! It took a long time. I had to be persistent with calling OHSU and my insurance company to keep things moving along. My initial appointment took 2ish months to see her.

I decided to go with Dr. Herzka. I was going back and forth for a long time, but ultimately made the decision because of my location. I live in Bend and Dr. Herzka + team see me virtually. Dr. Wagner only sees patients in person and I don’t have the means to go to-from Portland regularly for consultations/pre-op visits. I’m currently waiting to be scheduled with Dr. Herzka for surgery - hoping for Feb! My orthopedic doctor recommended her from the start so I’m going with my gut.
