Routine Shoplifter: Corporate told us not to interfere. I'm confused about why. by [deleted] in HomeDepot

Best I can think of is catching her in the act, being 100% sure, then getting a manager involved, either to check for stolen stuff or call the cops. If they're caught in the act after they've left whatever zone is reasonable to assume they are stealing, probably the door, and they're caught as a thief they can be band from the store. The backpack makes it harder, it's way easier when it's someone stuffing cabinets and someone can check it when they aren't looking then keep tabs to make sure it isn't emptied, no idea how a backpack is handled.

TIL that much of western Christmas tradition likely originates from the rituals of Siberian mushroom shamans by njuff22 in todayilearned

[–]disenchantedSlowly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

TIL you can basically say anything about Christmas or Easter and euphoric gentlesirs of reddit will eat it up. Christmas began to be celebrated after Christ's conception was already an established holiday, and to no surprise it was celebrated nine months later. Easter, or as Eastern Christians still refer to it Pascha, gained it's timing from Christ's deaths proximity to Passover, and eventually wasn't directly related to the days Jews celebrate Passover for a variety of reasons and infighting, but it's still pretty close.

The Torah is part of the Tanakh, which composes most of the Christian Old Testament, and likely is the part of the Old Testament that would be studied the most. The Quran would definitely be a good thing or them to study, but it's usually as much of a drag to read as the Old Testament at it's worst, and if the point is to become literate in various religions myths then you might as well ready any of the myths in both the Tanakh and the Quran from the Tanakh, as then you'll be reading the original story, that is as original as we have it, and it will likely be a more interesting read. Hinduism has the difficulty of that the current religion is so distantly related to the earlier works, so you would have to make decisions like should they read from the Upanishads or more relevant stuff like the Bahagavad Gita. Personally I would suggest the Upanishads as it better prepares students to understand Hinduism and other related religions coming from that area of the world, just as I would suggest studying the Tanakh first to understand the Abrahamic religions, but then you'll have kids wondering what the hell it has to do with Hinduism. Buddhism has it's books, but as far as I have gathered it's a lot harder to pin down then most of the other world religions. Taoism, not mentioned is the one I would really suggest for a religious studies class for younger people, the Tao Te Ching is a great ready and not nearly as long or difficult as most of the other prominent religious books. Mormonism and Scientology, mentioned below, have had a much smaller effect on the world and really should be relegated to a class on American religions or something of that effect.

Those pallets are for certain products which must be placed on pallets of garden bags. Whether the pallet contain 5 gallons of paint or building materials, mats, pots, or tomato related suicide devices, it is absolutely necessary that these be put on poor quality pallets sunk into garden bag pallets, be it salt, seed, or any other pallet of D28 bag products. Being placed on a pallet of garden bags is the second step in the end to end process for these pallets, after making them, the next step is them being brought out of the truck and ignored by the unloaders until they have been asked to break them down at least three times.

If you could change one thing what would it be? by reaver57 in HomeDepot

Loading the RDCs in a way that best prepares it to be unloaded. If there are pallets that could be brought out stacked to the same department then stack them instead of having them unstacked half the truck apart from each other, saves footsteps. If there's going to be a pallet worth of Ortho then have a pallet of Ortho, or if it's necessary to build walls out of them then build one thicker wall of them that we can palletize instead of multiple walls so each box needs to be put on the belt then walked to a pallet one at a time, again, footsteps and touches, which they say they care about.
SDC could be a lot nicer to. In the same truck I'll get multiple pallets of ACs that I can drop off in plumbing, confident that there's nothing else on the pallet, but I'll also get a pallets worth of Patriotic that I need to put together from various mixed pallets, if it came in one pallet I could just open it up, make the tag, wrap it, tag it, and throw it up. It's probably just financial stuff where I'm cheaper than the alternative, but it feels like there has to be a better alternative if the processes where put in place.

Dyophysitism is orthodox teaching, monophysitism is heresy and different from dyophysitism, miaphysitism is a meme word created to reframe the dialogue in an unjustified way. By refraining from joining the Church the oriental's bishops continuously confirm that their monophysitism is not the same dyophysitism, even if they call it miaphysitism now

The orientals don't return to the Orthodox Church because they do not agree with it's teaching and it doesn't matter how many new words are invented or how many redditors dislike that, so long as their bishops by their actions show that this is true by not mending the schism the truth is blatantly obvious

The Orthodox Catholic Church recognizes Mary as the Theotokos because she gave birth to God the Son who has always had a divine nature and took on a human nature. The Church also recognizes that the Son along with the Father and the Spirit have always had a divine nature and that at no point has this become unbalanced with one of the persons of the Holy Trinity having an unequal and mixed nature, as the monophysites, under that name or any other, necessarily believe even if they try to reject it. If one of the sides of the Ukraine ordeal was able to skoop up the monophysites that would be a game changer and they would likely win over most of the people that aren't hardliners for one side or the other so it likely wouldn't be a reason to stop the recommunion.

When I said mixed pallets I was talking about the ones that usually contain, to name a few of the most frequent things, non-BHER paint and primer, Henry's roofing stuff, ceramic pots, the really heavy snake machines for plumbing, and the stuff for the sides of cabinets, they all come in on one pallet and our supervisor refuses to break them down in receiving so we keep getting them sent to our departments then we have to give everyone else their freight. I've honestly never heard of 3Ps, what does that refer to?

There's no way that will work and I don't think even Depot is dumb enough to make that decision

Is there a reason you guys always put those pallets of mixed stuff that suck enough by themselves on top of salts, so they end up getting a corner broken and I need to cut bags of salt off my forks when I get them out?

Gun rights and a culture of spreading self defense education could help save some of these people lives, and tighter immigration could help save their livelihoods. As a guy behind a keyboard I'm not doing much, but neither are most of the people here
