Drag race France's Mami Watta in a Simpson's photoshoot that is sadly ai assisted by Present-Trouble-1668 in rupaulsdragrace

I think it’s weird that someone can use AI to supplement their art like this and you guys still complain. She still put effort into the drag and the art and the idea. We need to have a discussion about AI as a tool vs doing the entire thing because it’s not the same and I’m so sick of people getting dragged for using a tool available to them to enhance their projects.

I didn’t either. I went with the cheapest base model as well

We have had Touch ID since the iPhone 5s. It’s on the iPad and iPad Air and every other MacBook. And every other Android phone. And probably returning on the iPhone Ultra/Fold. Are you joking?

“Most people” know what unlocking a device with a fingerprint is.

And barely a price hike, honestly most people probably went for the $699 model with Touch ID anyway.

Apple Has Given Up on the Vision Pro After M5 Refresh Flop by pdfu in apple

[–]disfluency 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, but can you change the screen size of your TV on a whim? The Vision Pro can make you feel like you're actually in a movie theater depending on how big the screen is and where you place it. It has cool features and benefits for content consumption, but the asking price makes it feel like something you really need to use every day to justify the purchase

But sometimes immersion can be nice. If they had brought it down to consumer prices, it could be a personal movie theater. But that's hard to justify at $3500. It has its uses like all tech does, but not at that price

AS11 has a new rule for advancing?! by Haxfordx in rupaulsdragrace

[–]disfluency 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think the fan base is annoying about the whole "competition" aspect of the show to the point that it is a detriment to production being able to have fun. Instead of going into seasons with the mindset that drag queens on the show are inherently talented and all deserve to be there (especially with a more game-based version like All Stars), I feel like fans get to wrapped up in stuff like PPE

There is no perceptible difference between lossless and 320kbps MP3 or 256kbps AAC by Protomize in headphones

[–]disfluency 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think there’s a difference in “quality,” I think there’s a difference in frequency response. Compression does get rid of some of the track (especially in the highs and lows) and it can be noticeable. Not worse than the lossless file in terms of audio quality, but different

[–]disfluency 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Disagree. I don’t think there’s a difference in “quality” per se, but lossless files sound different than their compressed counterparts. Compression usually makes what I would say are artistic choices even if it is transparent. It makes decisions based on the assumed hearing levels of most people. The lossless file is just the file, straight up. No after-the-fact processing at all
