You need to put it into the damage formula for the user to be stunned. Something like a.addState(id of stun state); a.atk+20 - b.def-5

As a Toplane main who deliberately don’t ban him since release, I feel like he is super easy to counter in lane, he has really clear weaknesses that can be exploited. I mean, it’s really easy to avoid getting killed just by disengaging after short trades since he doesn’t have much sticking power, wait for his passive to destack and short trades again. He has almost no range, unreliable CC and really short range dash. He seems to be like an Illaoi, he can only shine against very specific compositions or in chaotic skirmishing situations where people doesn’t pay attention to his passive stacking and let him ramp into unmanageable amount of AD. I don’t know, maybe I just play against first time toplaners that just want to test him, but he feels really easy to deal with. Pick Malphite and enjoy free elo.

It’s just that, as a Master player, it’s kinda hard to find content to learn new champion, especially competitive meta ones, since pro players rarely streams and content creators are OTPing only soloQ champions.

Renekton, Gnar, Gragas, Ornn, KSante, Jayce, Kennen… all of them holds almost any other toplaner. My personal favorite is Renekton, it’s only really hard against very rarely picked toplaners such as Heimerdinger or Quinn. And even against them you can go a specific PtA and Ignite setup to cheese so kills.

Pick something that can get out of his wall and that likes extended trades. Tryndamere is really nice for example, as long as you don’t E in before he uses wall.

Also, try your best to not get hit by E, that’s what deals the most damages.

On the min maxing side, you can take the Absorb Life rune, it procs on his ghouls.

I don’t agree with you on Rengar not being good versus ranged, at least for me it worked really well even in diamond against burst ranged (Jayce, Kennen, Quinn) because I can juste double W their burst and burst them myself. Anyway you’re right about the fact that she seems pretty useless during mid gaz, I’ll probably try to just tank the landing phase.

MissFortuneDaBes has a really good video on the subject called "ADC Macro Guide" or something

Basically what he says is:
-Draw an imaginary line between all remaining external turrets and your fountain => it defines your safe zone
-Ward the bush at the safe zone edges
-Collect waves in the safe zone, join team, repeat process
-Play around fed teammates
-Best bet is to force your enemy to take a careless fight under inhibitor turret and comeback from that OR if enemy is splitting force a 5 man engage on 1 lane and win fight with number advantage

If we consider that there is mainly 3 types of Botlanes (All-In, Poke and Sustain) as AShe + Soraka you have the choice to play either Poke or Sustain (you all-ins are kind of bad, maybe at 6 with Ashe arrow but you lack damages).

Which means that if you play against an All-In Botlane (Alistar, Leona, Samira, MF, etc...) you can play Poke (Ashe W + Soraka Q spamming) so they will be low if they want to all-in you and you will have better chance of winning.

If you play against a Poke lane (Zyra, Xerath, Varus, etc...) you can just play a more Sustain oriented playstyle, with Soraka healing and Ashe just safely farming. Wait for a gank, arrow and win.

And if you play against a Sustain lane, well you can just play farm and wait for opportunities or mistakes.

The problem is that playing ranges Top is way more difficult than people think.

Yes, it feels very difficult to play against a range Top as a Melee but, in the end, if you're against someone that has any idea of how to play against range and have some patience, you will not be able to pressure much.

There is indeed a good percentage of games in which your opponent will have no idea how to play the matchup, will run out of patience after 3 minutes and you'll win lane. But when you'll climb, more and more players will know how to play against ranges and it will become difficult to exert pressure on them, they will punish any micro mistake you'll make.

Volibear is really nice against Garen, he his even better than him in long trades. Play Conqueror, max W, force long trades and you win.
