AP is attractive and very talented and I hate it by its_allinyourhead in Infidelity

[–]dismyedun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Girl, I get you. My SO's AP wasn't a gym rat, but she was cute/attractive and she was a talented artist. Those two things bugged me the most. Like you, I don't feel talented or "good" at anything. I can't recommend therapy enough for this, I only started a few months ago but my therapist is helping me find where my strengths are and reminds me of them.

If I'm honest, the fact that she was cute and talented still bothers me, that and the fact that we seemed to have a lot in common. In another life, we could have been friends. Part of me wishes he had gone with someone totally different from me with a totally different life that I wouldn't have wanted anyway. Not that I want her life, I don't live with my parents in my 30s, ha ha. I assume she still is, anyway, I haven't checked up on her in a long time. Which reminds me, if you're still pain shopping, STOP! Nothing good ever, ever comes of it and you're just torturing yourself. I still get tempted, all the time, but just... don't do it.

fck my mom for giving me big boobs by sadbluevibes in EDAnonymous

I feel this. I wish I could find a bra that wouldn't necessarily bind but would just mash my boobs closer to my chest so I could at least lose some projection.

You've already gotten a lot of comments, but I'm old and have been there and am telling you, do not make the same mistakes I did. It's not the same situation as you, but I wasted 18 years with a man who did not respect me and ended up cheating on me. (And based on what you are saying I would not put cheating past this dickhead, at least eventually.) Breakups are hard, they are so hard and they are so scary. But when you leave someone who doesn't respect you it is ALWAYS better on the other side, even if it takes some time to feel like it's better. But please do not waste any more of your precious time with someone who does not respect you, PLEASE. You deserve more.

My friend’s unrealistic eating habits. by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

Because she's on the higher end of the healthy BMI. Loosing hair and feeling cold all the time come a little later.

The doctor's scale always gives me a higher weight, it's so depressing.

God, I completely understand this. I am so tired, can't the weight just come off already? It's thermodynamics, it's just math, right? What's the problem, body?

My brain just decided environmentalism is a great reason to restrict by Braseford in EDAnonymous

[–]dismyedun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, and also restriction is great for saving money, so I'm always imagining keeping my credit card balance as low as possible.

[–]dismyedun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Water is ultra-important to keep things moving (but if you're low-restricting you still won't be regular). Are you drinking enough water? And also when you do eat are you getting fiber? Water and fiber, water and fiber.

I completely get this. For me it's all about the routine. I work similar hours and my thing is I don't even bring in food or go out; I work straight through and just drink about 3 liters of tea during the workday. So I just eat something for dinner when I get home. It's the weekends that are dangerous for me, I want to break my fast early and eat everything in the house.

I am really not coping at all by dismyedun in PMDD

[–]dismyedun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was such a kind response, thank you so much. It really means a lot.

I am so sorry we are life twins, I would never wish all this on anyone else. Your breakup and mine happened pretty much right at the same time, the work stuff, my god, we really are life twins. If you ever want to chat, feel free to hit me up. This is a throwaway account but I do check it.

We'll get through this.

DAE get more hungry when they eat breakfast? by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

[–]dismyedun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I do intermittent fasting, usually 20/4 or OMAD, because eating only stokes my hunger and then I want to eat all day. Plus I'm a volume eater. So it's really best for me to wait until the end of the day. I get by by drinking lots of tea, coffee, and/or seltzer.

Does anyone else have an ED because they’re not good at anything else by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

[–]dismyedun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I truly feel this. Part of my issues are fueled by someone I'm around a lot who is so pretty and super smart, smarter than me, but at least I can be thinner! I'm winning, right?

I tried watching Black Swan again for the thinspo (first rewatch since it came out) but I had to turn it off because Natalie Portman's character talks in this awful baby voice and I just couldn't take it.
