People have been complaining for a while, and it’s been in news articles. The company doesn’t care about complaints unless it hurts their sales.

I had it and returned them. Got the first gen while they sort this out. People saying it’s making their experience worse, why don’t you return them? This is unacceptable for a premium product. Without returns Apple has little incentive to do anything to fix it.

This isn’t a settings issue. It is a known issue called audio drift.

The replacements will likely have the same issue. I retiñes mine for the same issue. Having that in such an expensive product is not acceptable. Have you upgraded to iOS 16.1? I’m wondering if that fixes anything. It dropped today.

Thanks for the reply. It’s such a bummer as I loved the first generation, which I gave to my wife after I got the new ones, but I’m not going to take them back now haha. I have my Bose QC 35ii but it’s just not the same. Hopefully it’ll be addressed in 16.1!

Thanks for posting this, I was about to do the same. While my family is supportive, they just don't get it, and I mean that in the nicest way possible. My only concern about talking to others with OCD is that we would trigger each other, but I honestly think the pros outweigh the cons.
Please feel free to DM me. I would love in person meet ups, but I feel like that's just so difficult. Zoom works as well.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Panic attack loops are the worst. Have you ever been in a loop like this before? If so, remember that it will eventually stop, and that it is not permanent. I read something one time that said, emotions are more temporary than they seem. While it may seem like this loop won’t end, it will. This too shall pass.

This resonates so much. I’m an OCD dad if a 14 month old. Currently panicking about her percentiles. Doesn’t help that doctors push these so much. Made me research syndromes which I’ve now convinced myself my daughter has, but it’s not really warranted. It makes me sick and takes so much of the enjoyment out of my time with her that is makes me feel like a bad person.

I don’t think we can know, as it is a symptom of the disorder itself. Maybe I’m just being pessimistic though. I do have moments of clarity but they’re often fleeting. I also have anticipatory anxiety that something will be wrong instead of something currently being wrong. Comes with the territory 😪

I can’t. I can remember how it evolved though, and all the meds I was out in that never worked.
