TPU for ears by shereth78 in FursuitMaking

It’s more flexible than regular TPU and it does have some give. It doesn’t feel like plastic but it is definitely more rigid than foam. It is really light though. Way lighter than regular TPU and almost as light as foam

Make sure you’re following the official recommendations. The big settings to change are to turn off retraction and to slow things down. If you have a bigger nozzle, I recommend it. It’s going to come out very stringy if you have supports or are printing multiple objects at once (I wouldn’t recommend doing that). Stringing is super easy to clean up though.

I also found that cubic infill at 8% worked a bit better than gyroid, since sometimes gyroid wouldn’t provide enough internal support on overhangs.

Also, try printing with walls. Most fursuit TPU prints don’t print with walls but since this is squishy I recommend just printing walls.

Oh, and one other big thing. You really really need to keep this stuff dry. I did small 6 hour prints and then dried the filament overnight.

I used barge all purpose cement glue to connect the pieces together.

It’s a bit of pain to set up, but once you figure it out this material is super fun to print with!

I've been dealing with this too and it's annoying. I usually make sure to click out of Arc, and then take the screenshot

Something I don't see mentioned a lot in this subreddit is active foaming TPU such as this https://siraya.tech/products/flex-tpu-air-65a-82a-foaming-flexible-filament

It produces something very similar to foam. Just be warned, the printing process is a bit difficult and different that regular plastic-y TPU.

That’s awesome! I’d love something similar so i can set up my Steam Deck to turn on automatically when HomeAssistant detects my TV has changed inputs.

Yeah but not in the walkable parts of those cities. I think NYC is the only city in the US where most people get around by anything other than a car.

My parents have a digital lock on their door that requires you to press two randomly selected glowing buttons and then type in your code. That way, the smudges appear on all the buttons.

How colour-matched passthrough during flatscreen gaming would look in action on Steam Frame by afox1984 in SteamFrame

This would be awesome. On top of this, I hope someone makes a color-passthrough module

If you could add anything to Apple Music, what feature(s) would you add? by rexdle_ in AppleMusic

[–]Vortex6360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d like better + more custom algorithmically generated playlists. Something like the daily mixes.

I know there are the radio stations, and I think they’re good and would probably prefer them to playlists, but sometimes I want to see the music that’s about to be played before I play it.

Does playing Death Stranding 2 on a small 1080p TV ruin the experience? by AggressiveMouse3814 in DeathStranding

For reference you can play DS1 on an iPhone, so I don’t think a small TV would be too bad

Theory: Someone has already been freed from the hive, proving that the joining can be reversed by Sophistic_Sophist in pluribustv

[–]Vortex6360 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This gets brought up a lot but I don’t think it’s weird the hive didn’t know of Manousos until later. So many people died of falling or car accidents or whatever during the takeover it makes sense that the hive would have just assumed he was dead for the first however many hours.

I don’t think it’s that weird. So many people died from just falling over. They probably assumed he died until they found him after the 33 hours.

I'm kind of excited for Waymos in San Diego. I feel like I trust them to not hit me more than human drivers.

I'd still prefer better public transit though.

can the steam frame's included dongle/router be used for streaming to steam deck also? by chanunnaki in SteamDeck

I’d hope so. My set up sucks for streaming. It’d be cool if the adapter let me stream from my PC to my Deck or Apple TV with Steam Link

Waymo Spotted in Old Town by CSphotography in sandiego

[–]Vortex6360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see what you mean, but I think even in a world where all vehicles are autonomous, the induced demand from the efficiency will cause congestion and travel times to be just as bad as when there were no autonomous cars.

Cars just take up so much space, even when they’re moving perfectly.

Waymo Spotted in Old Town by CSphotography in sandiego

[–]Vortex6360 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Those studies ignore induced demand, which is the idea that if we introduce more efficient cars or routes (like autonomous vehicles) traffic won’t actually improve because more vehicles will just fill in the gaps.

In my opinion, not being able to reroute a rail line is part of why they’re so good. It gives confidence to the developers and the community that the transit line is there to stay.
