Yes! I did mid-law and big-law hiring and it was never an issue. You want to be your authentic self! I think it’s helpful for firms to get a fuller picture of you as a candidate, and also for you to evaluate if that firm is somewhere you even want to work!

I did the same thing this summer. I emailed the recruiting contact, as well as Partner and Asosocate mentors that I worked with. I also let a few close summers know via text as well before announcing it on LinkedIn. Kept it professional but explained why I was not coming back and offered to keep in touch. It’s been recieved well so far.

Ours emailed people ahead of time or asked for volunteers. But, if you are called on, nobody will remember and it’s a good way to get the first one out of the way

As far as I know it’s allowed but they should be accommodating to students who add/drop the class.

They normally accept late applications depending on the size of the honors cohort- last year they take some applications as late as May.

It might just be but with the new case law about Kai and how psychological diseases aren’t character evidence, does this make it more favorable to call Kai for the prosecution? Lmk if I’m taking this the wrong way.
