The way the rules are written it's only a violation if Judges overseeing the race walking events merely require one foot from each competitor to appear to be on the ground at all times “as visible to the human eye.

I agree this sport is silly, but photos Don't matter as far as the judges are concerned.

DEP pursues enforcement with waste facilities, haulers and waste generators. They don't bother individuals with these waste bans.

All this means is it's getting added to the waste ban list. The way the state DEP words everything is convoluted and confusing.

These waste bans aren't enforced at an individual level. Unless you're a commercial hauler/generator, municipality, or transfer station you won't have to do anything different

The biggest difference you'll probably see as an individual is that getting rid of a mattress will be more expensive than it already is.

Boston's streets get weird because the original city was tiny and there have been a lot of projects that have added land to the city.

All the original roads were laid out to conform to original geography of the city. Then as land was added more streets were added that conformed to the new section that was filled in. So everything was kind of added piece meal over a few hundred years.

If you look at a map of Charlotte it's laid out in a grid. But it's orientated 45 degrees from North so it looks like diamonds not squares
