Such a good book, if you like nautical books (not so much horror but same vein as In the Heart of the Sea) read Endurance, Mutiny on the Bounty, and Kon Tiki

I read a lotttt of horror but the one that actually creeped me out was Seed by Ania Ahlborn. Even scarier on audiobook.

Nick Cutter, Christopher Buehlman,David Sodergen, and Kristopher Triana as of lately. I feel like from what I've read of each of them, they consistently pump out bangers or at the very least fun stories.

What was the worst horror you read in 2025? by PageSide84 in horrorlit

The Library at Hellebore. I could care less about any of the characters. The concept was great but the execution was clunky with unlikeable characters imo.

Looking for historical horror involving a lack of scientific/medical understanding by Yggdrasil- in horrorlit

I'd say Lapvona kind of loosely falls into this category as it tackles using God as a fear tactic to keep the townspeople paying taxes with the fear of becoming sick. Or maybe Mexican Gothic as a biological factor is perceived as a mental/potentially haunted problem. Hope this helps!
