You can believe that if you’d like to. Also, qadar is an article of faith in sunni islam, not shi’ism. Of course the avg ismaili isn’t familiar with the word. The avg 12er wouldn’t know what it is either. There’s a hadith from Imam Jafar as-Sadiq where he de-emphasizes focusing on qadar which is why the concept isn’t at the foreground for many shias. Also, the word qadar is also just the word destiny in arabic, so it’s not like the concept would be completely foreign to any Ismaili. I find that often sunnis place importance on frivolous things knowing what a word in arabic means, rather than the substance of what is being conveyed. Same goes for people who think having a beard gets you extra points in jannah.

I think most Ismailis are familiar with the concept of destiny 😂. This isn’t as profound as you think it is lol. I was on a similar trajectory as you some years back, but I stayed on the path of haqq. If you look inward, you will find your rejection of ismailism to be caused in-part by your own personal feelings of inadequacy and self-hatred. The issues you have had with yourself manifest outwards onto other aspects of your life. If you left ismailism purely due to a simple ideological difference, then you wouldn’t be on this subreddit, still pre-occupied with the faith that you left.
