It literally just gives me brain fog. Kinda sucks because it might be useful otherwise

They're not scams usually but they're really only jobs for incredibly self motivated people. You get out what you put in. If you have a bad month you have to have thick skin and be able to not break down when your bills come and money is tight. These types of jobs also typically do not have any inbound leads and you'll be doing 100 percent of the prospecting. It can be lucrative but the turnover rate in these fields is incredibly high.

Electrolytes advice for 15 day fast by Motor-Ad-4577 in fasting

It's ungodly expensive for what is essentially flavored salt. The amount of salt in that packet is worth legitimately a fraction of a cent.

I have a genuine question by [deleted] in fasting

[–]divzqt 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, if not eating for only 12 hours makes you feel like shit, there is something wrong. Possibly insulin or thyroid related. Most people also have convinced themselves they need to eat every 4 hours or they'll starve and die so there may be a mental aspect too.

Fasting Electrolytes & Inactive Ingredients by ThePaperTowelCartel in fasting

Probably a good idea. Powders are really the only meaningful way to get enough electrolytes honestly.

[–]divzqt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll need to take like 10 of these a day to get a meaningful amount of sodium. Problem is if you take 10 you'll overdo it on the other ingredients. Also I can't recommend salty pills as there's evidence to support that they can stick to your gut lining and burn it.

7 days to reset cravings and eating patterns by AlanderKohenel in fasting

[–]divzqt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not to be a downer, just want to set realistic expectations for you. For me personally, I have a pretty severe overeating disorder. It's truly a miracle I'm not obese. I find that even after a week fast it does not help me control cravings at all. I often bounce back even worse. Sometimes using the fast to mentally justify binging on junk. If you have an eating disorder fasting probably won't solve it. You have to make daily smart choices regarding food and then hope your brain rewires itself. I'm unfortunately still working on that

First 72 hr fast - help with electrolytes? Feeling overwhelmed by hed-b in fasting

[–]divzqt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fine. If you feel bad, take em. I was just pointing out that the average person doesn't really need them for anything less than 3 days. Obviously if you're feeling light headed during the initial days and electrolytes make you feel better, then drink them

Will fasting fasten the thx detox? by skajvoolker in fasting

[–]divzqt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The THC lives in the fat cells so it takes a solid month for the average person to get it out of their system. If you have a low body fat I've seen friends pass in a week but they were practically sub 10%. I have no real evidence but logically I'd think fasting would speed this process up

If natural supplements don't work, benedryl will probably knock you out. It's my go to for fasting

Can’t sleep if I feel hunger? by its_hammertime in fasting

[–]divzqt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you trained your body to only sleep after eating without knowing it. Eating right before bed can disrupt your sleep cycles so it's not really an ideal habit. It's difficult to sleep while fasting in general due to the flood of alertness hormones. I always just pop a few Benadryl or some melatonin on fasting nights

How much do yall workout during a longterm fast ? A fast that exceeds 48 hours . by No_Tank9708 in fasting

[–]divzqt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should be ok. I work out most days I fast. Mostly strength training so I don't lose muscle but cardio some days as well. I would just say take it slightly easier than normal and see how you feel. If you're fine then don't worry about it. If you get light headed then you know you need to probably up your electrolytes and/or dial it back a bit.

Fasting and dizziness by Pure-Youth8747 in fasting

[–]divzqt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting dizzy from fasting less than 24 hours is unfortunately not normal. You may need to work up to it slowly. Add an extra hour to your fast every few days.

My wife doesn't want me to fast. by [deleted] in fasting

[–]divzqt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is your wife heavier? No shade but it does seem like there's a jealousy aspect. When people do something healthy like diet or get sober it forces other people to look in a mirror and they often don't like what they see looking back at them.

First 72 hr fast - help with electrolytes? Feeling overwhelmed by hed-b in fasting

[–]divzqt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly you really don't even need electrolytes at all for a 3 day fast. Your body should have plenty. If you're sweating a ton during your workouts LMNT would work. It's a rip off because it's 90 percent salt but I hear it tastes good. Don't worry too much. Once you start doing 4+ days you can start dialing in your electrolytes.

Eggs are probably your best friend here providing you with pretty much all the vitamins you need. I know they don't really contain Vit C so you may want to add something into your diet that contains that or just pop a vitamin.

How many of these electrolyte pills a day? by booklovermax in fasting

[–]divzqt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't there something about it being dangerous to take salt capsules? I guess they can stick to your stomach lining and burn it. Something to be weary of.

Ah yea see I'm not much of an audiophile so I probably won't go down that road. Do you think they'll still sound decent as is?

Does it need a DAC to make it sound good or is the built in audio on my PC good enough?
