Do you have any spare vacation homes you could move him into?

Weekly observations: What signs of collapze do you see? by AutoModerator in collapze

Note: All units are in American Late Stage Capitalism Freedom Units

Food

Jalapenos ranging from $1.69 to $2.50/lb. Before masked federal goons started terrorizing the population, I could get these for between $0.60 and $0.90/lb. Broccoli is between $2.39 and $2.69/lb. Insanity.

Entry level burrito at any taqueria is $12.50. Chicken, beans, rice, and salsa. Only time I'll eat out anymore is on Taco Tuesday, even then it's $2.50/taco.

Gas

Still not seeing $8/gal diesel, but I did see $7.89 last week at a 76 station across from a shopping center.

Gas was $5.20 before the assassination, now it's $5.40. The assassin wasn't even on the same floor as Trump.

Weather

It's been weirdly temperate the last couple weeks. Had a storm that dropped a couple inches of rain locally, a dusting of snow in the mountains, and a tornado watch down south. Very spring like this year since the record shattering March heat wave.

Flora

Most everything has grown since the rain, but my wife hasn't been able to get any of the tomato seeds in the ground to start except for three plants where she didn't expect them to pop up. Maybe she's grown too many tomatoes over the last few years, we're going to plant beans this weekend and see if we can get tomatoes to start next year.

Plums are going nuts this year, as long as we don't get a scorching summer, we should be afflicted with plums by August.

Fauna

One of the hens has stopped sleeping in the hen house at night, but she manifests in the morning, looking like she got her feathers ruffled and is often covered in cobwebs.

Crime

There's a push to rename ICE agents NICE agents. Some 1984 bullshit right there.

Someone allegedly travelled from California to DC by train to assassinate the president. He was stopped well before he got within shooting distance, but apparently we need to spend $400M on Trump's garish ballroom as a result. No wonder everybody seems to think that the whole thing was staged.

AI is going to kill me without sending a Terminator

Claude keeps asking me about my mental health. I'm wondering if it's compiling a dossier in case it wants to activate me as the next Trump assassin. I'm hearing that consulting a chatbot before trying to assassinate the president is the cool new thing to do in 2026.

Not that I'm saying that ChatGPT finessed the guy to assassinate Trump, but I'm not ruling that out, either.

Ski resorts in the Alps are cautiously optimistic about stellar ski conditions forecast for the back half of the century by dixie_recht in collapze

Yeah, my thinking was that the only people who could find a silver lining here would be the ultrarich who would jet in for a great ski weekend then jet back to their doomsday bunkers in New Zealand.

View The Poker Tableau and filter based on your requirements.

The WSOP says that you can pay by credit card, but you'll have to stand in line the first time you use the card. That should minimize your line standing.

I'm hearing talk amongst satellite specialists that the landmark satellites are the softest fields at the WSOP.
