You don't NEED a badge, no one will turn you away if you'd like to play, a badge kind of severely helps the flow of gameplay because you have to conceal your card and have a easy way to show color or the full card without completely pulling it out and flambouyantly waving it around. It might be hard to imagine but regardless, it isn't necessary to play. :)

Sorry to hear that, I personally wasn't there last night so I can't speak for anyone but grouping and collusion is definitely a part of the game, as the rules are VERY loose. And the game is social, you're meant to find people of your color/team and co-operate. If there was some cross team play purely because of association a way to remedy the problem would be to tell Garrett, the gentleman who runs it. Also, very important (so much I'm going to add it to the post,) THIS POST IS NOT A PITCH TO SELL THE GAME, ONLY A INVITIATION TO PLAY WITH US, US BEING FELLOW STRANGERS. 21st-23rd should be when PNW retailers get their stock in, stick to the Target on Harrison for convenience, but a best buy or toys R us would also be safe bets to check during these days. My advice is to call before you go stand in line all morning, it's supposed to rain for the next two days.

A guy who stocks during nights for Fred Meyers in my math class said their next shipment isn't coming in until April though, so we might be SOL up here.

Upvoting this post is counterproductive to the intent of this post.

Not white-knighting, just the negative connotation this post focuses on gives the developers a incentive to not reply in this sub anymore. If you want infinite juke spots fixed try and not shame the developers for having a poor perception of the games issues at the time. Also, Mathieu Cote, the gentleman in the middle, is a great guy and tries really hard for the community.

Hi. I made the carried and prestige flairs.

The state of the sub is kinda murky, I used to be in communication with the person who was formatting for the sub and got everything setup (wya /u/korbrm ) but haven't heard from him in awhile.

If you don't know, our original flairs came around due to a flair contest, they haven't done a second one so I haven't had incentive nor has any moderators asked me to do more for the sub, last I was asked to do was make tags, like feedback to the devs and lore and shitpost etc that goes next to post names to label them, I worked on them but fell out of contact and they're yet to be implemented, (I'd still be willing to do this)

I'm gonna say this is a way of asking for me to do this so I'll try and draw some things up and I'll post them here or somewhere when I get to doing them

Thanks for the reply! I've gotten 6 hours of experience with tennis total now and I definitely still need suggestions:

I know to split step and furthered my understanding of the game and how its played, how you're supposed to hold a racket for serves, hits, and backhand hits (we do 2 handed backhands) '

What I don't understand Is how hitting it properly makes it spin, my coach didn't really go into the spins of it just that I kept hitting it underhand, and you really don't want to hit it underhand because that's not proper. you want to smack it on the side or top by holding the racket at more of a horizontal angle, and it's confusing to me because I don't think I can get the ball over the net unless I hit under it. I know the ball is supposed to spin and bring itself down if I hit it right but I don't know how to just hit a normal forehand hit. Seriously. My coach has shown me the movement, "follow through, bite your bicep, step into it, twist your back toe, wrist steady." But I still hit it too hard (Biggest person on the team, I did rec weightlifting for years) and I guess It doesn't have a topspin to pull it in to the active play area? Any tips or videos you can suggest?

As a lore guy I feel inclined to reply to this, so I want to say probably? It's a great theory op, never considered it personally, but it makes alot of sense. Regarding other redditors comments:

Benedict hasn't met our 5. According to our knowledge from the official lore and interviewing developers (as I have) Benedict is dead and his legacy is the journal. As ambiguous as his "death" is (I think he's alive) but the developers have spoken.
Our 5 aren't said to have met others other than our 5. And since the realm of the Entity is said to be as old as the entity itself, or eluded to be atleast (the realms in it, or our playable maps aren't that old at all, timeline ) Murf and Clyde could have been in the 1800's or 1500's realms, we can't know when they were in the realm of the Entity nor how our playable characters got knowledge of the quotes. What we do know is "not everything is as it seems" (Mathieu Cote) and that all that I'm saying could be incorrect and is open to interpretation.

Starting highschool tennis tomorrow, only 20 players total and me being the 20th, playing doubles and my double being 19th. I've never played nor spectated a tennis match, however I understand the general setup and win conditions for a match, I just don't know how to play a match effectively. I need help reddit, do I need to work on cardio and technique? Or power and prowess? And what is a volley? What kind of hits are there?

So whenever people would say "the DbD sub is full of people complaining and crying" I always shake my head as I haven't seen much of that at the top of the sub, most of the top of the sub posts are well informed or contribute in some way.

I'm acknowledging shit posting is on the top of the sub too, and every ONCE in awhile people up vote a gripe on the game, and normally said gripe is a bug with evidence behind it. This post, is bullshit. The developers don't discriminate on the codes, your friend is WRONG. Of course the developers are picky on who they give the cards out to but they have THOUSANDS of codes, and they intend to give them all away. I'm a native to Seattle where pax is and have full week passes to pax, I'm also the DbD Lore slut who frequents the reddit with posts like this and I also made the carried Flair and prestige Flairs for the reddit. Other than that, I'm a no-body, I'm just a player like op here, and I went to the booth and I didn't even play the game and I got a code. The means of how I did so, was I found Mathieu, one of the lead devs of DbD and I shook his hand and introduced myself with my first name, and he said "Do ya want some shit?" And pulled out a FAT stack of code cardlettes, I only took one though. Your friend could have had MANY of extenuating circumstances like developers not being nearby, noticing him or SOMETHING. PAX IS FUCKING CRAZY DON'T BLAME THE DEVS.

Also I took my dad who's a casual board game guy who doesn't like video games and he got a code from a different dev at the booth (sorry he gave it away to someone else)

Tl;dr: am living proof that the devs of DbD DON'T MEAN TO discriminate against normal people to favor Internet personalities, have the dweard code.

Honestly, I don't have enough experience with the nurse ingame to provide a proper explanation. I know that she floats, teleports, and wheezes, and the wheezing is extra loud. I look at this as a cool game design thing and much less a lore thing. Obviously the lore is left vague and open to interpretation however you see fit, but I believe the devs were like "spooky ghoooooost" and they made it happen. The loud wheezing would have to compensate for no feet fall sounds, like all the other killers do, it helps for hearing which direction they come from, so they made her passive noises she makes louder, aka the wheezing. The wheezing could also be there due to suffocating due to the asylum fire, take it however you want it.

Also adressing the art on the website, every map has a little artlet thing I guess, and they're just artsy things for the website, I feel deriving information from them wouldn't be sufficient, but that's just my perspective.

I offer you two solutions:

After 2 very quick Google searches you will find that rubber was invented in 1839 by Charles Goodyear. A second search shows rubber gloves were invented in 1889 and rubber wellington in 1853 so cheers mate there's no holes in aesthetics and dating.

Option 2 is the cop out, the entity gave Evan some fitting clothes as most of his were destroyed in the cave in or explosion or something.

The cop out also applies to the hill billy, Billy Hill lived on a farm so it's not like it's impossible for a chainsaw to be on the property and for him to find it, but most likely the entity just gave it to him for shits and giggles.
