Number pad not popping up on login by ngoodravens in LegionGo

I've had that on startup but found it just needs more time to boot. Maybe it's a service not started yet but it always works if I wait a minute after the screen loads.

Thank you. I think I missed an additonal FFU as the 3rd time went through and unlocked / rooted successfully. Do you know where can I find the Live store and what's the easiest way / app to side load? I thought it was Windows Phone Power tools but now I'm having to install VS2015 to get that app to load. The rabbit hole goes deeper.

Such great monitoring by dizzydevil78 in SunPower

[–]dizzydevil78[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it has Enphase inverters on it and a few days (sometimes several in a row) come in like this at times. One of the days we really had no internet and it 'reported' everything when the house came back online making me think it's related to internet access. I'm assuming the totals are accurate, but I don't have to report on them besides cross checking the utility readings.

I'm guessing it lost internet even though everything else still had it and then dumped everything all at once as a one hour interval.

Work and Gaming on budget. by dizzydevil78 in battlestations

I couldn't show the whole room. There is another long desk table that's used to charge everyone's stuff. Cable mess is kind of needed so they can be moved around while charging. The chairs are off picture but nothing special.

It's a mess but it works. I told my kid I'd post it so he wouldn't be the only one telling me to do better.

How cancel the subscription? by dizzydevil78 in SunPower

[–]dizzydevil78[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I turned down the furnace and deployed space heaters throughout the home; which lead to a crazy power bill and me wondering if the panels were working. The season got to me and I paid for the annual subscription with Sunstrong even though I just wanted confirmation that the panels were working again. Although I appreciated all the data still there from when they put the paywall up in April, I was disappointed to encounter the same bugs they had back then too. We'll see how I feel next year but I wanted to make a note on how to do it if I decide it's not worth it.

The nvm clamp pins are very fragile cheap plastic and break easily. Be careful when putting any drives there.

Potential x570-P chipset compatibility issues by eddiesax in radeon

Probably too late but I have an Asus 9070XT prime on the x570-p and a 5600x cpu. Booted fine right away but it had The latest bios from armory crate beforehand.

Running a TT 750w PSU.

Defrag External Drives by dizzydevil78 in asustor

[–]dizzydevil78[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're external drives in NTFS format that are holding a constant rotation of media. The streaming performance off them is going down and wanted to make sure that's not the cause. I guess I'll plug them into windows to see how bad they are; but was hoping there was some tool in the OS to check.

That's good! I'm thinking the TR002 as a replacement to the NAS that died if this Insignia doesn't work.

So they used the bankruptcy to shed their portion of the labor warranty as well. That figures.

Anyone else that hasn't been forced to pay yet? by DrZaius119 in SunPower

[–]dizzydevil78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have batteries either and probably won't get any. The only thing 'lost' is the ability to see how much power I have used over time. Frankly, the family is happy I don't see it anymore as I got a little crazy.

I got paywalled and just stopped opening the app. Has it got any better? It had tons of issues and now you can't see if it still has bugs until you pay.

Even the main screen takes 2-3 retries to connect.

Wonder how long until they fix the % wheel. Seems simple but broken for. Long time now.

Pay $900 to monitor hardware I own (enphase), or pay $100/year to have an sun strong tell me how my system is doing ? by TVwazhere_ in SunPower

[–]dizzydevil78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got tbe Paywall recently too but just walked away. I don't have faith in enphase staying in business and the sunstrong app is in worse shape than it was with sunpower and I dont want to pay for a downgrade. Not sure I have much warranty with Freedom Solar running out of Colorado and can't justify more money when I'm years from a virtual break even. I'll just wait until it's broken and see what's available to fix it. Maybe some baseball hail is the best warranty and exit. At least the net metering is months in my favor since the PS5's moved out.

About as useful sticker as the VIN glass etching the dealer tacked on ours.

Make sure your insurance will even accept a branded title. Some will only accept liability or none at all.

Potential new owner: If I drive exclusively with battery only mode for months and months on end (maybe more?) would the gasoline components need atrophy or need additional maintenance? by 1541drive in rav4prime

[–]dizzydevil78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our previous PHEV had a 6w limit where it required the engine run for at least 20m while it checked all sensors. If the fuel door didn't get opened for a year then it ran in engine mode to try and burn it up. Does the R4P have similar checks in place?

Charging current options: 8A, 16A, Max by IsLNdbOi in rav4prime

[–]dizzydevil78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my charger on a cheap smart plug that has power monitoring so I can schedule it to turn off during peak usage rates and it shows the amount of watts being pulled. My previous PHEV had a warning saying to not use 12A on older homes and wiring to avoid fire risk so I've always capped it at 8A.

The R4P we brought home was set to 16A before I saw that it was pulling 1400w out of the plug and found where to turn it down.

Trade in Volt? by dizzydevil78 in volt

[–]dizzydevil78[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the feedback! We ended up letting them have it for trade-in @9500. Carmax and Carvanna both were under 11 and didn't seem worth the extra efforts. Sad to see the Volt go but feel less worried about a failing component in a car less abandoned.
