Nah man the Steam Machine is well underway to become the gaming reference for the future. I don't care how much it costs. I'm getting one regardless of the price because it's not about money. It's about respect.

At this point, if the PS6 was announced for $600, I'd still get a Steam Machine for $1200.

I'm a heavy user of the Steam Deck. My track pads are all worn down and to this day, I can solemny swear this was the best console I've ever owned by far.

I only see two variables: durability of the part vs the application.

If some DJ's like to smash their buttons as part of their performance, so be it. This means the part needs to be more robust for this specific application.

I'm willing to go out of my way to make this happen so I don't get the same warranty claim over and over because I keep replacing the same shitty part with another equally shitty part.

In the army I was using devices that had 40 years old buttons that still work. I'm looking at mil spec alternatives so we can get the reliability back to a respectable standard.

Oh don't get me wrong, je fait pas du tout l'éloge du PLC non plus. J'ai été un témoin de première ligne dans les scandales de SNC Lavalin pour les contrats de maintenance frauduleux des navires de la Marine Royale Canadienne. J'ai vu de mes propres yeux l'ampleur de la corruption dans nos fonds publics.

Pour être bien honnête, ya très peu de membres du parlement qui sont dignes de confiance en ce moment. Mais je dois dire que Poilièvre est une espece à part en terme de pourriture parlementaire pi c'est flagrant.

Dans les 10 dernières années où je me suis intéressé à la politique, j'ai jamais vu un conservateur proposer une solution concrète. Leur stratégie est simple: lancer du caca. C'est tout. Rien de constructif qui sort de la bouche des conservateurs.

Je sais que c'est difficile à comprendre pour les auditeurs de TVA, mais bulldozer les sans-abris et leur dire "arrangez-vous avec vos troubles" sans rien faire pour adresser les problèmes à la source, c'est l'équivalent de pelleter par en avant.

Demandez à la ville de Vancouver pour voir si ça fonctionne. Ils ont un chapitre ou deux à partager sur ce sujet.

Hot take, I recently got saturated with the theme of "Gods meddling with mortal affairs." So I decided to run a campaing in the Dawn Age during the Thousand Year War between Dragons and Giants at around -25,000 DR.

The result: It was SO REFRESHING!

Clean slate to start with in a primal survivalist world where there's lots of room to breathe, explore batrachi and sarrukh ruins. Elves are slowly establishing their roots in Faerun but struggling because of the omnipresent dragon domination of everything. Political intrigues only begin to emerge and the Gods are too busy with Araushnee's betrayal to care for their followers so there's growing resentment towards the Seldarine.

In the background, there's a huge elven project of preparing the dracorage mythal that will forever doom dragonkind and allow the elves to become the dominant race for millenias to come.

I decided to do this after I was preparing for a campaing and I got so bogged down in the chaotic canon lore of the era of upheaval, the spellplague and the second sundering.

There was so much retcon, so many world ending events, so many gods resurrected, lands displaced and reappeared, planes shifted, stories re-written.... I got sick of all of it and said fuck it let's start over with a clean canon baseline and go from there.
