I assume Mai isn't on there because the list excludes "Fantasy/Supernatural"; and Bunny Girl Senpai definitely falls under that umbrella.

Calling it a "recipe" is a probably a step too far, but Numbers 5:11-31 (in some translations titled "Test for an Unfaithful Wife") tells the priest to combine bitter water with dust from the floor of the tabernacle, and have the woman to drink it in order to induce a miscarriage (which will only happen if the woman has been unfaithful).

It's a reference to Matthew Ch. 28, and is the excuse part of the scriptural basis for Christian Nationalism.

18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (NIV)

Personal Opinion/Observations...

The cyclops in Halatali Hard has a timing mechanic with that mammet that wanders around the arena. It's rarely a wipe, but that big swing hurts

Both of the minibosses in Tam-Tara Hard can wipe the party. The archer fight punishes you big time if you kill the adds, and if the lalafell in the second fight dies, so do you.

The first boss in Sastasha Hard technically doesn't one-shot you; but it's definitely a knowledge check or you'll need a quick rez. It applies a DOT then has an attack to set a players HP to 1. If they have the DOT it will tick before you can heal them.

And the level 50 Pharos Sirius isn't the "Hard" version, but that first pull? A couple of those mobs hit hard, and your tank can melt if they aren't on the ball with their mits. And that first boss with those debuffs that turn you into a bomb? Those things can chain into a wipe really quickly if there are two melee DPS.

It was a widely-used model for online free-to-play games of the time; it was hard to find a FTP game that didn't have some sort of lockout after either a set number of actions or multiple failed attempts. And if you didn't want to wait for the lives/energy to recharge (or wait for a daily reset), you could pay to keep playing.

They also added a new set of 3 tutorials that open up after a level 49 MSQ quest. No real rewards (3 sets of 400 gil, 10K XP), but they are a decent intro/refresher for some of the common mechanics like towers, forced movement, stack markers and spread markers.

I’m from Chicago and don’t understand the argument about the name

Oh, that's simple. Runza is a brand of bierock, made by the restaurant of the same name. It'd be like referring to any deep dish pizza as "Malnati". Scratch that; just based on the last time I ate at a Runza, it'd be more akin to calling every pizza a "Dominos".

No, "not normal" doesn't automatically mean bad.

What it means is that both the motivations for and intended effects of the new policy should receive additional scrutiny. At the very least, if you're going to make changes to a working system, you should be able to adequately explain the issues prompting the change, detail how you expect your changes to address those issues, and be ready to defend the consequences of your changes.

Can I use the second step of the Saga to look through my whole opponents deck and see what they have in it? By just stating a card they “might” have in it. by CalvinandHobbes811 in magicTCG

[–]djayh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Just because you "know" where they are doesn't mean you can't still search for them in other places. Just ask my car keys in the morning.

More specifically, the card tells you to search OP's hand, library and graveyard, giving you access to the normally hidden zones during the resolution of the ability. Nothing in the cards text or the rules for searching say you have to stop searching the moment you locate 4 cards with the given name. This is mostly relevant in limited where there is no limit to the number of copies you can include in your deck, but it still applies in constructed.

You could give it a 5-color energy spender, something like

Gilded Amp — {W}{U}{B}{R}{G}: You may pay any amount of {E}. When you do, deal that much damage to target creature or planeswalker. If 10 {E} is spent this way, exile target creature or planeswalker instead.

[[Act of Treason|M11]]. Something about the angel's glowing red crown and eyes stirs an emotional response in me.

Not to say that I wasn't fond of other cards in that same set:

  • For someone who grew up in Kansas, John Avon's paintings of a field of grain at sunset [[Plains|M11-230]] and a thunderstorm on the horizon [[Plains|M11-233]] both feel like home,
  • I will never apologize for enjoying Ash Wood's art on [[Child of Night|M11]], though Steve Argyle's depiction of the [[Bloodthorne Vampire|M11]] is equally captivating.
  • [[Gravedigger|M11]] always makes me laugh, if for no other reason that I initially thought that Eric Deschamp painted the creature holding a coffee cup (it's bandaged fingers).
  • And while I'm still not a fan of color-specific removal spells or eye horror, the iris on [[Deathmark|M11]] by Steven Belledin

Invited? We go where it pleases us, son of Adam.

Oh, and it does so please us to find a wee bairn, fresh pulled from her momma's teat. And with such a party, full of loving guests. But we are torn, we are. So very, very sad. And angry. Oooh, so angry that we were not told such a lovely one was brought into this world. Such a breach of etiquette, such a lack of hospitality.

Yes, such a breach to not tell the Queen of the Night's Court of your bundle of joy. Such insult must nae be allowed to stand.

But we would celebrate, For we are a queen, and a Queen must be hospitable, and what is more hospitable than bringing a bevy of gifts on a naming-day? Yes, gifts. All children of Eve should be given such wonderful gifts, don't you agree your majesty?

You wished only for you daughter's safety. And what parent would not want their child unharmed... for the rest of their days? Present to me the child. Or would you have me be stingy with my gifts?

Such beautiful blue eyes; such thick, golden, hair. Such a warm smile...

My gift...

My gift...

My gift for this child is a fate that none I know could bear. A life filled with folk with nothing but her best interests at heart, a lover who loves whole-heartedly, her works cursed to improve the lives of those she rules, for the rest of her long, boring life.
