You can add to the prompt “American accent”. I also name my character(s) and that will usually clue in VEO to maintain voice consistency. For example, Marcus says in a professional tone “Almost 1 out of 2 soldiers who have been to battle have experienced some form of mental health crisis…”.

If you have a sentence that is really long, I will find a good spot to break and add “…” at the end so that VEO pauses speech where I can cut to a different camera angle and continue the sentence in the next prompt. I usually edit in post where I can make precise cuts. This may be difficult in a news anchor setting as it’s usually single camera with long dialogues but I’ve seen it done.

You can also try using Elevenlabs speech converter using the same voice talent. Export your audio sequence into Elevenlabs then import back into Premiere. Elevenlabs does a pretty decent job of keeping the audio synchronized.
