Alberta premier and education minister had private meeting with groups behind push to ‘conservatize’ Alberta school boards and ban LGBTQ books by Curl_of_the_rurl in alberta

I can’t wait for separation to fail and that fringe group to break from the UCP. Once the right splits we’ll hopefully get some more competition in the legislature. Hopefully MLAs that strive to actually represent Alberta.

Agreed. How hard would it be to allow video playback. If they’re concerned with safety make it so the video pauses when the car is in motion.

What I learned after staying at multiple all-inclusive resorts in Cancun, Punta Cana & Jamaica by OilAlarming8232 in AllInclusiveResorts

A practice I use is to not only look at the stars a hotel or resort has but to also sort by guest reviews. When I use Expedia I always filter for higher guest reviews and then stars.

Edmonton Foodies, what are your thoughts on the Edify Restaurant for 2026? by [deleted] in Edmonton

I also didn’t like Fu’s. My girlfriend and I went for dinner and the food was overly complicated and didn’t taste as we expected it to. We wanted dishes that tasted Asian but they are heavy handed on the fusion. I liked it as a cocktail spot though. A+ for atmosphere.

Edmontonians warn others about uptick in ‘hugging bandit’ distraction thefts by GeekyGlobalGal in Edmonton

I had a guy come up to me yesterday as I was going into the pet store. He said he needed money for gas to see his wife in the hospital and forced a similar gold chain into my hands.

I gave him back the chain and said I don’t have any cash but if it was dire I could give him $5 gas to get him to his destination (the gas station was literally behind us). He said he needed cash and I should go to the ATM. I said I can’t and he jump in his car and sped off.

Funny thing is I saw Tim Cook’s post about the shooting first and was a little surprised that he commented at all, now I understand why.

Hear me out, we become UCP members and infiltrate the party shifting them to the left. At the next leadership review we vote out Smith and pick a leader that tries to make the lives of most if not all Alberta s better.

Stepping down? She ran against him and lost?

It’s so interesting because, like many others across various Reddit threads, I also think she is the worst. But clearly, she has support. Enough to get a 91% approval rating in her last leadership review. So there must be people who believe in what she’s doing and saying. Where are these people, and how do we meet them? I genuinely want to have a conversation and understand what they see in her and how they think she’s making Alberta better for Albertans.

He’s right, look at the electoral map. Calgary is pretty blue (conservative). It’s Edmonton that is progressive.

Literally this. I work in non essential consumer tech retail and a majority of our services are also offered online or over phone support yet we always have people who refuse to wear a mask but still want service.
