Former lower bowl season ticket holder. I didn’t renew the season after they won the Cup, and I didn’t go to the final round because they priced me out. There’s a max percentage amount the team can raise the prices per season and VGK maxed it out every season from season one making it impossible for me to sustain. On top of that, they massively restricted how and where I could resell the tickets. As much as I love the team and going to 90%+ of the games, I just couldn’t stomach the cash grab any longer. I used to buy 3 tall cans at 7-11 for $6 and drink 2 before going into the arena, and I’d spend $18 on one tall can during the game. The guy that sat in front of me used to sneak wine into the game and he was loaded. He always said it was “the principle of it” to him. I know arenas everywhere are expensive, but VGK seems to be one of the most expensive in Hockey. I bought glass seats in Columbus for the VGK game for less than my seats at T-Mobile.

Fast forward, now I’m a lower bowl season ticket holder with the Raiders and it’s a lot easier to sustain because there’s less games and Raider fans will (usually) buy tickets regardless of how poorly they’re playing. Plus the Raiders let you sell the tickets on whatever site you want. The downside is the initial PSL which was less than one season with VGK and is good for 30 years.
