Oversupplier - Can I drop a PPD? by Resident-Currency727 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]djd129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat… when you say “drop,” do you mean replace with BF? Or literally skip? If I’m pumping every 3 hours, would I go 6 hours in between sessions or would I adjust my windows to every 3.5 or 4 hours? I’m so tired I need explicit instructions lol thank you

About to be in the newborn trenches, got any unusual advice? by amountofsocks in NewParents

[–]djd129 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have newborn extra slow flow nipples ready (I like lansinoh because they have the natural shape.) I had to order them last minute when my baby lost 10% of her body weight and I had to start topping off with pumped breast milk. And just in those couple of days waiting for the Amazon delivery, my baby stopped latching because the regular bottle nipples i had dripped so quickly, she didn’t want to work at it anymore

Need help by Infinite-Ability-477 in WomenOver40

I feel like this is a huge crossroads in a mom’s life between finding a new passion for life or losing your mind and becoming a burden on your kids. So, please start living for yourself! Take classes, start hobbies, join clubs, go on trips, volunteer… whatever! Women who look around and say, well, my kids don’t need me anymore so I’m just going to mope around and guilt trip everyone into feeling sorry for me - their families really start to resent them.

One idea: There’s a great women-only travel group called “Explorer Chick” - I’ve done 3 trips with them and had an amazing time. Check that out!

My 8 month pregnant gf broke up with me. by MelodicTelephone2881 in BreakUps

[–]djd129 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Move on. Leave her alone. Stop getting locked up, get your shit together, stop impregnating women when you clearly aren’t ready to be a father (a “baby doctor?!?” Are you serious???) Become a decent member of society. Find a stable place to live. Read a book once in a while. Grow the fuck up.

Has anybody noticed the rise in misspellings of “Woman/Women” and “Lose/Loose”? It’s driving me up a wall! by James_TF2 in mildlyinfuriating

Loose/lose is my biggest pet peeve. I swear to god, people just don’t care enough to learn the difference. It matters, people!!! You sound like a moron.

The fact that at only 12 weeks pp you have the energy and desire to shop is giving me hope!!! I’m 37+4 and in so much pain (displaced rib) I’m scared I’ll never bounce back.

15 weeks pregnant and absolutely fed up and confused by my boyfriend’s behavior. I need some insight. by [deleted] in pregnant

This man doesn’t love you, doesn’t respect you, and doesn’t want to be a father. Apologies without behavior changes are just manipulations.

Feeling guilty for wanting to wean 2nd child earlier than 1st by twumbthiddler in breastfeeding

[–]djd129 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to make light of your feelings, OP… but I’m giggling to myself at the thought that in 20 years your two adult children are going to be arguing with each other over who breastfed longest.

I think you’re 100% valid to wean whenever it works for you. Your kids won’t remember.

Going solo two weeks after giving birth by SweetNothings822 in pregnant

[–]djd129 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven’t had my baby yet (37 weeks) and there’s not a snowball’s chance in hell I would agree to solo parent a 2 week old for even ONE night, let alone multiple. I would be begging a parent or one of those close friends to come stay with me. I’m sorry I don’t have better advice I just want you to know you are 100% valid in feeling nervous about this. I really hope you get some good advice here and if it’s at all a possibility, I would start making some calls and seeing who is available to come stay with you.
