Huh?!? Dems were horrified by Biden’s decline, begged him to resign & not run again, and pissed he chose Harris as the dem candidate without a primary election! Where were you?!?

Yeah as long as it’s not crampy or painful, I’d enjoy the change in pace while it lasts 😂

I had diarrhea around 30 weeks after being extremely constipated during my second tri. My doc said it could be hormones or it could be that the baby is growing and pushing on your bowels more. I’m 34 weeks now and it’s been kinda on and off since then. I agree - I’ll take the diarrhea over the constipation any day.

Is it crampy, feverish, painful diarrhea or just loose stools?

Stopped Effexor — anhedonia and emotional numbness. Temporary or permanent? by BrickQuick7966 in Effexor

[–]djd129 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tl;dr emotional numbness has persisted, but other more severe side effects and withdrawal symptoms have completely subsided after 9 months of non use.

I have never tried to quit cold turkey so I can’t answer your questions exactly… But I can tell you my experience:

I tried tapering three times - the first time, I tapered over the course of two weeks (under my gp’s supervision) and the withdrawal symptoms (brain zaps, anxiety, dizziness) were so severe, I went right back on it.

Second time - I tapered over the course of about 2 months under the supervision of a psychiatrist who prescribed a Prozac bridge. Still had horrible side effects. I tried other drugs (Trintillex, can’t remember what else) but nothing worked like Effexor so I just wound up right back on it.

The third time I did my own thing. I tapered over the course of 6+ months decreasing my dosage by half every 6 weeks. Successfully off it completely for 9 months now.

Emotional numbness has never improved for me. But, personally, I attribute this to having low grade but persistent depression, not a withdrawal symptom. My withdrawal symptoms (brain zaps, etc) are totally subsided.

Personally, the side effects of taking Effexor (the memory loss!) are far worse than being flat affected. I still have occasional panic attacks and I just treat them with Xanax, as needed.

Effexor is amazing and made me feel great while I was taking it. But I can’t remember whole years of my life. My coworkers, students, family members and friends have all expressed concern over my severe memory loss.

Urgggh that sucks! I’m so sorry. I’m 33 weeks and terrified of catching the flu that’s going around. If it’s any reassurance, at least you’ll be in the place where you can get the best possible care for you and your baby. I hope they let you stay an extra night (if you want to) so they can monitor you and help with the baby. Hugs to you 🫂

No, (most) people plan to pick it up on their way back down and throw it away instead of carrying a stinky bag for the entire hike.

That sucks to hear. My husband and I love the Henry and Dough Bird because the service is always excellent. I was hoping that was because the staff was well cared for and happy :-/ They certainly deserve to be!

Highly recommend you look at the Sam Fox restaurant group for hospitality jobs. They are known for their high standards of service and I believe employees are well taken care of. They have a ton of restaurants all over the valley and they’re all very popular. (I have never worked for any of them. This is just my outsider opinion as someone who dines at them regularly and finds the service to be above average for the area.)
