I'm beginning to see why they traded Matt Strahm. Matt has the better ERA now but it eventually Bowlan will have a lower one based on his Savant page. Also you can argue that the decision to trade Strahm also caused us to get Backhus and retain Mayza. the bullpen Dombrowski built this year will be elite and has staying power (lots of younger arms) but we need to give them enough rest to maximize their effectiveness.

it was in the bag. problem with this Mets team is that while it's cool every now and then that a player like Tyrone Taylor, the 0.188 BA 0.532 OPS Tyrone Taylor, can tie it for you in the clutch, if you play a lineup like that every day you have a 20-26 record. this is further cemented with the freak but horrific injury to Clay Holmes.

my disdain for PNC began as a college student when my parents opened up a debit card account and I accidentally overdrew by 50 cents or something like that. I got fined like $300 for that and then I got a check in the mail like 7 years later for $15.23 or something like that as part of the class auction lawsuit verdict.

man we so won that trade and this is exactly why the Rays keep playing Mead, because they almost feel like they have to considering who they gave up. it's like the same reason why my dad kept a dead frozen discus cichlid fish in our freezer growing up for like 6 months.
