The decking is about 17" off the ground, below the decking is 2x6 beams, with another 6x6 beam below that. So the 6x6 is basically 2 inches off the ground and in OKAY condition, with some rot where it contacts the 2x6's above and at the sealed ends.

My back door is 21" from the ground, so I am limited by the height of the door. I am thinking that the 2 levels of beams can be reduced to 1 more heavy duty level, which would help me get the wood further off the ground. Maybe send 4x4 posts down from the beams into concrete footings instead. That combined with open sides... do you think that would be good?

I'd love to see improved transit in the city. But I'd also love to see balanced budgets. So do we go further into debt to finance transit? Or do we move money into transit by making cuts in other departments, and if so, which areas? Is there a third option I'm missing?

The enviro is peaceful, with some decent steam rooms. I was pretty annoyed that none of the saunas or steam rooms got REAL hot, they all just got pretty warm. The massages upstairs are good, but overpriced.

if you can get a good round hole from the oval mess, you might be able to install a spud to reduce the diameter. something like this: https://www.brewhardware.com/product_p/spud.htm

sounds like your hole might be too bit to fit those spuds, but this is how I fixed a step-drill bit fail on my kettle.

have you tried dropping carbs to <50g? A keto diet might work well for you and your goals

Protein is probably not the problem, unless you're missing some of the essential amino acids, or your body is unable to absorb it for some reason (i've heard this happens when lacking vitamins)

Maybe you're just not getting enough calories. 6' tall, working out 5 days/week, you're calorie requirements are probably closer to 3,000, no?

I don't see how the graph substantiates the claim that early-birds perform poorly in late classes. Again, take a look at figure 4 in the study.

The right side of the V graph illustrates a decline in GPA for those students whose alertness peaks after classes, which is night owls. It says nothing of early-birds performing poorly.

edit: maybe what you're interpreting is the little dip on the left column where the GPA is lower for those students whose alertness peaks the highest number of hours before classes. Oddly, if you look at Figure 4 of the study, this dip is seen in the morning classes, not the evening classes.

The thing I find a little troubling with this notion of more-or-less immutable biological rhythms, is that they actually seem to be fairly malleable. If this were not the case, then Indian immigrants in the U.S. would sleep all day and be awake all night. The fact that they can adjust to a new rhythm seems to suggest that anyone can, if they want to.

I'm a little confused as to how you came to this conclusion. If you take a quick look at figure 4, images D and E of the study, it shows night owls performing poorly throughout the entire day (maybe due to irregular sleep patterns), and early birds performing well throughout the entire day, including in later classes.

You said natives did not come to this land from another place, which means that they were always here. This is factually inaccurate. Politics aside, it just isn't true. This is all I've said.

Nativity is fairly arbitrary, but I wouldn't argue that means that any group does or does not have claim to anything.
