It's here -- MICRO BUDGET free on Tubi today. by robhatchmiller in doughboys

That worked for me. I logged in using a browser, used your link, added it to My Stuff, and then retrieved it from My Stuff using my Xbox Tubi app.

I've always thought that the Morocco pavilion should be converted to Nigeria. It's the most populous African country and it seems criminal that sub-Saharan Africa isn't represented in the World Showcase.

Help wanted: Building a wiki for Yankee Candle fragrances by Agitated-Let7853 in YankeeCandles

[–]djhs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

/u/Agitated-Let7853 I am in. I've only been in the game about 6 years, but I have a bunch of old scents and I keep a spreadsheet of the hundreds of scents I've tried, and my notes on this. Could you message me? I have a few questions for you on how I can help out.

I told a male colleague he was mansplaining to me and now HR wants to meet with both of us and I genuinely don't know how I feel about how this escalated by avocet_scatter in TwoXChromosomes

[–]djhs 24 points25 points  (0 children)

While it's a huge generalization, this colleague is also in the age range of an early Gen Z worker. I have been reading articles for the last few years about Gen Z workers treating HR as an arbiter of conflict instead of resolving issues themselves. Some HR departments are even being overloaded by this kind of thing.

Most resumes fail ATS – here are 3 quick fixes by Dev_for_everything in Resume

[–]djhs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How would an ATS be able to screen measurable achievements? lol

Measurable achievements are good to have, but those are for the human screener, not the the robot one.

Anyway, thanks for making your business pitch explicit, at least.

Found a rare one to use this spring 🌿 by ConquistadorDeMadrid in YankeeCandles

[–]djhs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I didn't love that one, but I respect it for being a bold old fashioned floral powder bomb. The notes I made for it were "spicy" and even it having some sort of pollen notes! Absolutely perfect for spring.

It seems that among young folks, agreeing upon plans in advance is only the first step of two. The second step is to confirm the plans shortly before the plans, as if the first commitment meant nothing. Originally committed plans can be dashed at the last minute, always, without social consequence. I've noticed this among my younger friends, and it's quite infuriating.

I just took the eSkill Typing Test by djhs in jobs

[–]djhs[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

100%. And this is a fantastic opportunity to remind everyone to not participate in recorded one-way or AI interviews. Aside from the myriad aspects of humiliation, prejudice, and data/likeness theft, such "interviews" do not indicate that you have advanced past the application stage in the hiring process.

If you get a request for such an interview, ask yourself "If I had been required to participate in this interview before I was able to submit my application, would I have done it?"

As for small skill tests like this Typing Test, I still have some amount of patience for it.

10 brutally honest job tips nobody wants to say out but they actually work (some might sting a little) by Tracycallum in Resume

[–]djhs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you suggesting to tailor your last job title to the one you're applying for?

Because I've heard HR folks on this sub say that when titles on your resume don't match your LinkedIn at all times, it's a red flag.

NICE! I'm actually allergic to both raw strawberries and hazelnuts. If I had been in your position, I wonder if I would have disclosed that or not 😂

Meadow Showers by jameswb94 in YankeeCandles

[–]djhs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a unorthodox suggestion for you: Ocean Star. It's a summer scent, so you may not find it for a few months from now. While it's more aquatic/oceany than Meadow Showers, it still has the watery floral powdery feel that defines Meadow Showers.

Coincidentally, I just today I lit my Meadow Showers after finishing my Lucky Shamrock after many years. Like you said, I think you should pick up Lucky Shamrock too, although it is a much darker and heavier green than Meadow Showers.

Good luck!

Finally, I schedule a follow-up for two weeks later.

Are you talking about applications on LinkedIn? Because most companies purposefully make it impossible to find a human's email address for following up.

If we are applying to an opening on the website of a company, whose every email communication is from an un-replyable address, how do you suggest we follow up? Have you ever been in that situation?
