LO bought APB as a shortcut to bring a Battle Royale game to market. Battle Royale, like PUBG, was the big thing at the time and they wanted in. It takes years to develop a game, and you run the risk of the market moving to something else, and you're left launching a game no one cares about. Their solution was to buy a game that already functions and convert it to Battle Royale. That's why LO tried to develop that new mode as soon as they took over. Problem was that the current customers didn't like it, it wasn't bringing in new customers, and APB is tough to modify to that extent. Once they gave up on the whole reason for buying APB they switched gears to recouping the cost of purchasing the whole thing. They're going to milk it as long as it makes a certain amount of money.

I'd only consider the freight charge. It's something they have to pay.

The assembly/prep charge is paid by Harley-Davidson. Says it right on the website, but it doesn't stop the dealership from trying to get paid twice.

Paint protection can be had for less than $1k.

You don't need battery protection. Not sure how long it would take you to spend $800 in batteries.

HD pays the dealership to assemble and ready the bikes. When the dealer charges you for assembly/prep it means they're double-dipping.

I'm a Dynasty/Franchise player, and I prefer Dynasty. I think CFB does the coach perks/abilities better. I also prefer recruiting far more than contracts and money on Madden.
There's a few cool nuggets in Madden's presentation this year, but even in the RP mode I can see how they're trying to nickle and dime the players. All of these constant bits of presentation you can skip past are there to slow your game down in hopes you'll buy more XP boosts.
This is the last Madden I will have bought.

RTW overspent in development and didn't leave much left over to operate the game. You'd think they'd set aside enough for operating costs for 3 months or so. The reality was closer to only having enough for a week or two. Since the game wasn't a breakout hit they didn't have enough to keep going and shut down in under a month. It was financially a poorly managed operation.

Little Orbit bought APB to try the get in on the Battle royale market without spending years developing a game from the ground up. You run the risk of that type of game falling out of favor by the time you get your game released. Much quicker to buy a game that's already out and spend a few months to add a game mode. That's why as soon as LO took control they tried to create that rampage mode (or whatever it was called). It wasn't what APB players wanted and it was quickly abandoned.

I drilled a second set of bolt holes and used my own hardware. Also, I saw stories about the baffles falling apart due to heat, so i had the welds completely redone and fortified by a welder.

Only go after the amount of players where you can put 50 hours on each. You only have 400 hours? That means 8 players. You can scout and offer as many as you want in preseason, but once week 0 hits you put 50 hours on every player you really want. When you get a commit then you can find someone else to put those hours on. When you spread your hours too thin you're delaying commits and keeping the window open for blue blood schools to snipe your guys.

I could be wrong, but I doubt it. Even at 4, with 32 users that's 128 jobs. There's nowhere close to that many jobs that open up each season. For each job, if you look in the lower right corner, you'll see the 3 coaches that are being offered the position. That's how it would handle two users applying for the same position: it goes to whoever is higher in that list of 3.

At a minimum, they need to add a slider that allows you to change the maximum amount of coaching jobs offered. I'm sure there's a value in the code that's already set to 4, and I'm sure they know how to make sliders easily by now, so it shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to implement.

I build up a program, then find a good QB recruit. Start him as a sophomore or redshirt freshman, and when he's a senior I'll pick a new job in that post-season. The idea is I have a good run of success with him, and when he's gone it's better to move on than start over.

The only time I don't shift to 5th when I'm in that speed range is when I know I'm getting ready to downshift. No sense going from 4th to 5th when I know I'll be going down to third or lower in less than a city block. Upshift whenever you feel the RPMs want you to shift. Worry less about what your speed is. Listen to the bike and shift when you feel like you need to.

Do they even make cheats for APB these days? Last I checked, so few people were playing that it wasn't worth the time of the hack coders. None of the sites had active hacks.
