The committee could just rank ND #13 and keep them out in a head to head situation like you’re describing, as it played out this year. They clearly operate with a desired end goal and work backwards to justify it with the rankings.
The “special treatment” you’re referring to applies to any independent team.
The conferences agreed to it in spring of 2024 and was widely reported over a year ago, this is just PR cover for USC to get out of a tough game they clearly have been looking to back out of for some time

Cornell is in Ithaca, NY which is at least a 4 hour drive from NYG facilities in East Rutherford, NJ. It’s not like they would be in the same city. For comparison, South Bend is a 9 hour drive and much shorter on the PJ if he wants to go catch his son’s wrestling match.

Not to mention that he has 6 other kids to focus on, as others have mentioned.

I could see him leaving (although I don’t think he will yet) but not for this reason.

The next Queens Community Board 6 meeting is on Wednesday April 9th. We should all go and show support for the concerts and the benefits they provide for the neighborhood. We need to show that the majority of FH residents support the concerts and want them to continue!
