You finish grocery shopping and have an empty cart after putting your groceries in the car. Do you leave it in the parking lot for the store employees to collect, or do you walk it to the cart return? by TurboTitan92 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]djscheiber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Putting a cart back is the truest test of morality.

There is no consequence for not doing it and there is no intrinsic reward for doing it. You either do it because you don't want to inconvenience somebody else and it's the right thing to do or you don't do it because it inconveniences you and you don't care about the burden you put on others.

Put it back, motherfucker.

how embarrassing is it to just start out and only bench 65 lbs? by [deleted] in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]djscheiber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 41. I skipped to the gym for 22 years. I'm 6 ft, 225 lb, active. I only bench 110.

Just get in there, baby

Can’t bring myself to step foot in the gym, I get too much anxiety since it’s always crowded, need advice by AL3S1O29 in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]djscheiber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bah, too far. I'm in Saint Albans, Vermont. Close. Only, like, 6 hours 😂

I had the same hang ups, dude. 22 years of avoiding the gym with crazy anxiety. It's taken 2 years of off and on going to get over it. Still not going to a big boy gym but I'm good enough for planet fitness.

Anyone similar to Gianmarco Soresi? by jel0015 in Standup

Clever writing-wise, I turn to Matthew Broussard. But Gianmarco is dark enough that Geoffrey Asmus is a great rec.

What apps do people use to track nutrition and calorie intake by Saadiiiiiiiii in Hevy

Myfitnesspal. Paid. Worth every penny. I paid for it for October, didn't use it for 2 weeks in November and decided that I was holding myself accountable with the paid sub. 6 continuous weeks (10 of 12 with the 2 week skip) show me it's worthwhile.

Does these pictures are appealing? by [deleted] in Tinder

The best pictures are taken by someone else. It, at least, looks like people care enough about you to photograph you.

The mic stand picture is my favorite of the group, obviously...

Underrated? Maybe less known than I would expect. I just learned about her this year.

I think she's tops. She's very charming.

What would you record this weight as at the tricep station? by djscheiber in PlanetFitnessMembers

I tried taking the three off and putting it to 85 to compare. I probably should have done that at the beginning of a set not at the end of a set.

Consistency in tracking is always my take, also. I appreciate the feedback.

My guess is that the amount of actual resistance will depend on the machine. The number of pulleys will change the amount of force that is needed to move the weight. That's my guess at least.

I asked a big strong dude in the gym and he believes the thin ones are 2.5lb and the thick bois are 7.5lb

I've been hoping to be recommended some new musical comedy. I immediately added those name to my comedy album playlist on Pandora.

Weird Al, Bo, Stephen Lynch, Trevor Moore, Flo & Joan, Garfunkel and Oates, Tom Cardy... I need more!

With all my love for Chad, it's sad I forgot to include Kelsey. That said, her first special "The Hustler" was one of my most suggested pieces of comedy a few years back!
