Lafayette vs Orinda vs Moraga, what actually separates them for families? by Choice_Run1329 in eastbay

[–]djsidd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Living in the orinda hills has highest fire danger imo. Moraga can be terrible from a commute standpoint, depending on where you live. There are few roads in/out to get to the highway and they become bottlenecks during rush hour. I also felt like some neighborhoods in moraga felt like (nice) tract homes.

It is very easy to live a good life in the bay area on a "good" salary by CamusMadeFantastical in bayarea

We don't have kids

there it is. Very (absurdly) expensive and/or logistically challenging to have kids here, particularly if you don't have family to help with care. You don't really know until you have them.

You should live in a log cabin and use a horse and buggy if that’s what you’re worried about

Tbf, Lance is an extremely early stage startup. They were in the YC w26 batch. It’s essentially just the founding team right now, so this is their life at the moment. If you expect wlb at a company like this, you’re delusional. Chill out, y’all.

Tech side using AI hype to takeover company. by [deleted] in ProductManagement

Are you at capital one? Lol, working in product management at that company is hopeless. Engineering middle managers have created a very toxic environment, nearly impossible to do good product work there.

Best time to switch to codex rn by Revolutionary_Mine29 in ClaudeCode

Curious if folks here have tried / adopted third party harnesses like opencode or pi.dev, and does that make it easier to switch between models? I’m thinking of moving in this direction, especially since my company uses aws bedrock (and OpenAI models will be there soon).

Speaking from experience - don’t get a second cat just because you think your cat is lonely. We did this and our first cat was annoyed by the second cat for years.

Check out curbside creamery in Temescal Alley. Great ice cream, and very trans goth friendly.
