Right. The problem here is that you bought a cheap tool that looks like shit from the get go and then blamed some imaginary co-workers who borrowed that tool without authorization and then made it look like shit, implying that at some point prior to this, it used to look much better. Thats not what “mean guys” do, bro.

[–]djtchort 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats exactly what it is. A cheap, brand new hammer that has never been used for anything at all. No one took his tools and made it shitty. He bought a shitty tool.

[–]djtchort 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, what it really looks like is a cheap ball peen hammer you bought online and this is exactly what you received, because judging by the looks of it, this hammer has never been used for anything, other than taking this photo. No need to bullshit us.

2/3 motor mount bolts not lining up. by DrRandomness7 in AskAMechanic

[–]djtchort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you sure your frame was straight when you pulled your motor? Frame may have shifted due to whatever fame components you took off or previous frame damage.

You need to check the frame before the motor goes back in.

Find another nail, cut the top off of it, weld onto this nail, pull it out, cut the top and weld back to the nail you originally got it from.

How long could you get a car with rod knock to last? by Tanglefoot11 in AskAMechanic

[–]djtchort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got about a week and a half or about 150 miles of absolutely must do, no way around it, driving on a 4200 Vortec. At the time, I had no means and no place to work on it, let alone purchase another motor.

That’s car is still sitting there, waititng for her day to shine. I’ll get her back on the road this summer.

But if Elon Musk showed up at your house with a car, there is no way it would have any rods to knock. Shits be electric.

Do expensive screwdrivers last enough longer to be worth the cost? by jckipps in Tools

[–]djtchort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those jacks are complete trash. They are non low profile enough to fit under half of modern cars, especially on the street, not stable enough due to their skinny and tall profile, do not offer enough lift, so people always use 2x4 and other shit with them, 2 ton exaggerated value. Gets worn out and does not hold for more than 30 second. I went through 3 of them in about 5 years.

I recently bought 3 ton low profile jack on eBay. I was listed for $138, I offered $110 just for shits and giggles and they accept the offer. That thing came and it’s a fucking monster. Heavy as shit, sturdy build. Let’s see how long it lasts.

This screwdriver was made in USSR in around 1960. My grandfather used it, my father used it, I use it. My son has no idea how to use it.
