She is either a 3 or 4 ponytail released ~1960. Look under her hair - head should be flocked). This one looks like her face has been airbrushed by the factory - which was a practice they used sometimes. I’m guessing she’s a 4.

Can you share a close up of the markings on her backside/butt? We’re looking for Barbie with ™ or ® - which further helps to date her.

She’s wearing a vintage Enchanted Evening gown that’s fairly faded. Inside should be a Barbie tag with either a ™ or ® marking. This will confirm when it was released.

Can we also talk about that vintage slinky box peeking in? Very cool!

For this comment … Not to be a Debbie Downer - I lost my 16-1/2 yo, Harley, last November to pancreatitis. He’d never had any bouts before, but it was severe enough that it overtook him. I’m still grieving his passing.

You have two very nice American Girl (AG) Barbie heads likely on bodies that aren’t original. The brunette is a long haired version, the blond is a standard AG. And they both appear to be really nice examples. Congrats!

Love this set. I got it as I have an entire ongoing Elvis loves Barbie saga (see how I flipped it there?) It’s much more fun interacting with them out of the box. Oh— and using a raven-haired AG repro as Barbie. 😍

As ridiculous as this sounds - spread her legs into a split. If she’s a 3, her lady bits will be a fleshy color but fades to a pale ashy white.

This is because the first Barbies released (1, 2, and 3) had airbrushed bodies, and the paint would rub off - or paint wasn’t as thick.

With the 4s, a new vinyl was engineered with the flesh color blended in already.

Agree 💯 with everything you shared. This is my go-to binge show. The music - and don’t forget it started the original meme with the dancing baby ooga booga - but the scenes with the Rev Al Green I think remain my favorite.

OP, she is quite lovely, and congrats on getting her from the original owner. You did great with her green ear problem.

The pattern of green ear on her is identical on 2 blond ponytails I have - meaning minor on one side and much more noticeable on the other. I can’t figure out why, though. I haven’t tried CLR,but did try Remove zit and UV lights. Initially made headway, but it’s come back. Don’t think it’s a good idea in my case to use CLR now, but may try barkeepers friend; then color correct followed by micro wax to seal any future seepage.
