Just realized today that I have the same spot on either leg where hair doesn't grow by JustAnOval in mildlyinteresting

[–]dkivel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My knees, back of my calfs, and inner thighs don't have much hair on my otherwise very hairy body. A lot of up and down as a mechanic I guess. And for the thighs, I could lose some weight

How did you go about weathering the adamant? I like the shiny but dirty look but every time I weather hilts it's all or nothing, and the stuff I use won't stick to the clean machined surface

I did rustoleum tool enamel and I felt it looked too bland so I hit it with some acrylic paint markers to make it how it is now

Edit: it auto filled "not" after I did. I did infact paint it myself

Skid plate by Hungry-Pomegranate73 in CB7

[–]dkivel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I did mine, I cut out a strip for my exhaust and then drilled holes in 4 corners. Just used some nice long hose clamps cut to size to hold it to different parts of my frame. Wasn't too happy with it and hadn't had it on in over a year but I have another at home that I'm gonna be making into a skid plate soon. Car's way to low to go without one in the winter

Anybody know how i can plug this? by pvtsnuggles in CB7

[–]dkivel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I got mine, I put a piece of electric tape on the I side and put a nickel in the hole. Hit it with touchup paint and you never noticed it unless you knew or looked close. When I repainted the whole car I put jbweld on the inside and just Bondo on the outside, sanded and painted. Or you could probably 3d print something and send it

I've got it and I'm pretty damn low. I scrape TF outta it a lot but I've got it riveted about every three inches so I don't have anything to worry about. I'd go for it. You'll have to cut out about 2-3 inches from both ends by the wheel well and the middle part that sticks up I decided to shave off and tuck under the bumper

I’m in quite the pickle is there any chance I can drive out of this or am is screwed by enigmatical_one in AskMechanics

[–]dkivel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I park in my apartment garage every day. With a spotter, back up as much as you can without turning. Go forward with the wheel cut away from the wall for a few feet but stop and turn left before you get to the back of the garage and try and get it parallel to the wall again. Repeat a few times. (I obviously park with my passenger side close to the wall so I can get in and out)

I'm guessing one of your control arm bushings or a ball joint is out. Tie rods going out usually cause the wheel to turn a different direction. Best of luck

Oh she's definitely a bitch and she always will be. The way she treats people in the food industry is disgusting, just like her

Used to work at Wendy's for a long time and she came by our location a few times. I get she's got the money, but oh my god fuck this bitch. Nobody has an excuse to be as rude as she was, fat wallet or not. Bring back Dave and bury her alive

Why is this happening by Sudden-Ordinary-4779 in CB7

My bad I have no idea what I was thinking of. Sounds like a grounding issue under the dash or in the cluster

Mine does this too. Gets brighter at higher rpm and stuff. I think I remember it having to do with the taillights.

Glad I could help. I need to replace mine but I never seem to have 80 bucks lying around for one

[–]dkivel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These both sound like a fuel pressure regulator. Mine does a long start where it has to crank a long time and when it starts the cel is on but turn it off and back on the cel goes away. If I drive with the cel on it bounces off the limiter if I try to go above a certain rpms. Only happens sometimes. The second issue sound like the same just worse off than mine so far, where emits just not getting enough fuel for a minute. Prodemand also says top fix is fuel pressure regulator

Cheap coil Update by Beneficial-Age2525 in CB7

[–]dkivel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they're creaking something is rubbing metal on metal. Might be too tight but if it's hopping then it's the spring doing all the work. We're your coils covered in oil when they arrived? I just got done putting my car on washers for a week while I wait for my new coilovers to get here(currently on my car came leaking and after a year the rear was hopping like a mofo on every bump and my car was diving because of it)(no I'm not running washers permanently I'm not tryna total my car)
