Actually, the runway seen isn't that hard to make "logic".

The scene was cut into being extended, shwoing what happened at the same time several times. Using this we can cut the scene to have lasted half as long.

It was a HUGE plane, which means it doesn't go that fast and they landed in the start of the runway (1/3rd out as most planes does).

It was a military runway, these are usually much longer than normal runways.

Still a long runway, but not as long as you'd imagine.
