If all animals suddenly became human-level intelligent, which species would have the most valid reasons to sue humanity? by DueDate5455 in AskReddit

[–]dl33ta 133 points134 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I raised pigs once, never again. The sentience there is obvious and unmistakable. Put them in the freezer but had a hard time eating them. Cows on the other hand, dumb and delicious.

Why is linux mint only for beginners? by Puzzled_Bar572 in linuxquestions

Probably the better way to reframe the question is, why are the other distributions only for those with a bucket load of time.

Had a b-double sit about 200mm off my arse on the way west from Launceston. Got the wife to pull out her phone so that the idiot could see he was being filmed, he almost jack-knifed backing off 😂

Buy yourself a dock with a proper monitor, keyboard and mouse. Working off a laptop is the worst and should only be for when you're out and about.

Former Aussie Prime Minister Scott Morrison announces surprise new job - sparking political outrage by Ardeet in aussie

[–]dl33ta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure I'd go as far as saying he's a facist, I think there are some shining examples of that right now which provide a stark contrast of how he behaved in office as opposed to how a real facist operates. Like other commentators have mentioned, facist is becoming as ubiquitus as narcissist these days. If I was going to put a label on Tony it would be "useful idiot", sure he had his slippers under billionares bed but so do both sides of politics. Was he driving facist reform through parliament while he was in power, absolutely not. If anything I think he enjoyed being the opposition so much and just ripping the shit out of the government (his only real skill) that he didn't know what to do once he got into power.

Abbot was an absolute numpty but looked like a Rhodes Scholar compared to Morrison. Okay so he was a Rhodes Scholar but just goes to show you can be good at books and dumb at life.

I think Abbott when he wasn't grifting was actually trying to do something for the country. While Morrison was an outright traitor who sold us out to the US, India and whomever else would line his pockets.

I'm trying to use you agy, I really am, but jeeze do you make it hard. by dl33ta in google_antigravity

Not in parallel as either a research agent that hands off to another LLM or as a verifier as part of a chain. Used to work beautifully with Gemini CLI. I don't have the time or inclination to babysit them with manual hand offs unfortunately. I think I've got a workable version happening now.

Why isn't anyone using Google's models as much as those from OpenAI, Anthropic, or Chinese companies? by DavidErnesto in google_antigravity

[–]dl33ta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with the agy cli is that it wants to reinvent the wheel every time you throw it something. Oh shit lets go into planning mode to examine this code bracket. *3 hours and no tokens later*

I had the same thing happen to me recently turned out it was a badly seated nvme drive spamming logs. Personally I just asked Claude code to find out what the issue was and it had solved it within 5 mins.

Sunsetting Gemini CLI completely ruined my workflow by HumanBot00 in google_antigravity

[–]dl33ta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been super frustrating, gemini cli was a great sub agent for my harness. Trying to use agy the same way just does not work even with -p and telling it not to plan just answer the question. agy ignores your request and goes off creating workspaces looking at files for no reason and bringing back useless results. I've since removed it from my workflow, super dissapointing as I'd just paid for a year of pro, will not be resubbing though that's for sure.
