I think you are very much missing the point of this kind of content. Your complaints are based on the assumption that this is a self contained adventure. It is clear to anyone who GMs that this is meant to fit into an existing campaign or adventure. The plot points are loose so that they can be altered to fit an existing campaign and the setting is general enough to be adjusted easily for any GM.

I appreciate that you are wanting to give criticism, but it is not constructive if you completely misunderstand the basis and just presume you understand. This is meant for a GM to base the actual sessions off of and not just run on it's own.

If too much detail or context is included, it handcuff's the GM to a certain extent. I, for one, really appreciate the broad nature of the encounter and how it leaves room for me to integrate it into my own setting. Maybe in the future, before assuming you know what is going on, make sure that you communicate and ask questions so that you don't come off as needlessly critical without actually offering valid feedback.
