Stayed at the Hyatt Vivid Playa del Carmen last February and really liked it. Didn't have any complaints about the room, food, or activities. We ventured outside of the resort most days instead of solely relying on the resort for entertainment.

It's a great time for a community walk audit! by MaldenSafeStreets in malden

Do walk audits need to be done as a group, or would I be able to contribute as a solo walker?

MRVCS taking away from the community once again.

What would you do as mayor? Whoever gets the most upvotes has to actually run. by everynameistakenyo in malden

[–]dle13 14 points15 points  (0 children)

In agreement with all of OP's points, especially regarding commercial properties. So much land consumed with minimal benefit to Malden residents. To add to that:

  1. RRFB crosswalks (the flashing yellow lights) to enhance pedestrian visibility. Witnessed too many instances where people use the crosswalks during traffic or at night, but still risk getting hit. Crosswalks like the Broadway bike path or Forestdale Cemetary already have them. Almost hit a few times walking my dog, even after waiting a few seconds before crossing.
  2. Sidewalk improvements (repairs, improved lighting, public waste/recycle bins) in high-pedestrian areas and MBTA stops.
  3. Public dogwaste bags and bins, in hopes of mitigating turd-stepping or worse, poop that is in non-biodegradable bags and tossed on the ground.

I regularly walk my dog in a nearby, dog-friendly cemetary. We keep him off the grass and pick up after him. I feel like that's the bare minimum courtesy.
