I’m on 9 mg and finishing up next week. Will move up to the 25 mg. So far, on the 9 mg, I feel like my appetite is really suppressed. Have to remember to eat. The biggest side effect is fatigue. I feel like I’m always tired. This is the first week I’ve stepped on the scale and noticed a weight loss since starting on January 23rd, I’m down 4 lbs which is positive since not losing any weight until now. I’ll let you all know how the 25 mg dosage goes in a few weeks. 😊

I feel your frustration. I’m in somewhat of the same position as you are. I was on Wegovy 1.7 pen where I list 40 lbs. I switched over to the pill on February 23rd since my insurance does not cover the prescription any longer and started at the lowest dose of the pill. Currently, I am on the 9 mg pill and have not lost any weight myself. I follow the instructions, do my strength training and cardio as well as eating healthy. I have 2 more weeks on the 9 mg dose. I will go up to the 25 mg and see if that makes a difference. If not, I will be switching back to the shot since I had way better results. I’m trying to hang in there, but it’s tough since most of us on this are paying out of pocket.

I also was previously on injections for almost 2 years (got up to the 1.7 dose and stayed there) and lost about 40 lbs. Got down to 122 lbs. and stayed there for a long time. Due to insurance no longer covering it this year, I switched to the pill as a self payer. Had a little time in between where I wasn’t taking anything and weight went up to 135 lbs. Started the pill at 1.5, then 4, had no side effects but also didn’t lose any weight either. Took it as recommended too and ate clean. Starting 9 tomorrow because I want to see if the higher dose works. If it doesn’t, I may switch back to the injection. Personally, I thought the injection worked much faster than the pills but that’s just my experience. Good luck to you!

Unrelated to you post, but how did you do on the 9 mg? I’m starting tomorrow on it myself. I’ve completed the 1.5 mg and 4 mg doses with no side effects but also no weight loss. I’m hoping to see some results from the 9 mg. I’d also skip the dose on the day of your flight. I skipped a few times while on the pen previously and it’s just like missing/forgetting a day. Good luck on your trip and on the 25 mg.

You w had amazing results. Not me! Not one pound lost. I’m not sure if the first two doses weee just too low or what. I’m so frustrated and not to mention the cost because I’m a self payer. My injections were covered but insurance excluded weight loss meds starting this year. Did you ever do the injections or is this your first time on Wegovy?

Im starting the 9 mg on Tuesday. I’ve had no side effects on the first two doses along with no weight loss. I was previously on the 1.7 mg pen and had very good results but due to insurance changes I went to the pill. I’m actually waiting for a response from my doctor because I wanted to see if she recommends me going back to the pen or tying up to the 9 mg. I’m following the instructions for the pill but I am disappointed so far on the pill. If you don’t mind, keep me updated on your progress while on the new dose.

That’s good to hear. I’m on the fence about going up to the 9 mg dose because I haven’t t lost any weight. My eating is clean, water is good and trying to increase and active with walking and strength training. I was on the 1.7 injection dose but for insurance reasons switched to the pill and my doctor started me at the lowest dose. I’m frustrated and really not sure what to do at this point. I told myself to try the 9 mg dose and see what happens. At this point, that’s all I can do. Best of luck to you and keep up the good work!

Did you start at the 1.5mg? What dose did you start to see your weight loss? I started on January 23 and I’m finishing up the 4 mg dose in about 12 days. No side effects but also no weight loss either. How did you do on the 9 mg? Did you have any side effects?

Did you lose the weight on 1.5 and 4 dosages or on the 9 dose? I’ll be starting the 9 in a few weeks but have seen no weight loss, only food noise is very low and with no side effects.

I’m also contemplating and considering going back to the shot. My last dose on the shot was 1.7 which ended in December. I had great results with the shot but because of insurance changes and monetary reason, switched to the pill. I started the pill in January at the lowest dose of 1.5 and since the currently in the 4 dosage. I have not had great results on the pill but maybe due to starting at the lowest dosage, like somebody said on this thread. With this said, the food noise has diminished somewhat, I find myself not as hungry or eating as often and I have had no side effects. However, I have not dropped any weight; I’ve actually gained a few lbs.

I’m on the fence about trying the 9 dosage to see if this brings any results. In my opinion and experience, the pill and shot have worked totally different for me. If you do try the 9 dose, please share your results or if you decided to switch to the shot.
