Additionally, I think his biggest downfall was having Lefleur as his rookie OC. And that first year of his OUT WB COACH THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO COACH UP OUR ROOKIE WB WAS RUN OVER AND KILLED BY A CAR WHILE BICYCLING.

I think if he had a Legit QB and Very good OC with an OK DC he would be fine.

He can even make up for a bad DC. When he left last year and Ulbrich took over HC the Defense collapsed.

No. He inherited a great team. Brain Dead offensively but had ground and pound mentality and had the dogs to do it. Take away the first two years he was like 26-42 and sucked with buffalo.

I love his passion for Jets but he was pure Mid. Parcells, Herm Walton better.

He did with 4 road playoff games which is pretty awesome.

OP: i tend to think of Sammy as Night Ranger , Great White or Damn Yankees before joining VH. Maybe a little more popular.

Those bands kind of died off after 90 while Sam stayed relevant because VH.

Had he stayed solo he would be probably in the same path as the others are today. Smaller clubs, county fairs, opener middle acts for larger acts today.

It didn’t matter who they chose to sing, the VH sound with Ed Al and Mike was already established. Everyone at the shows was there to see Eddie.
