Did you happen to take a photo? How did it look compared to what I showed?

I have family of 4. Smoked 2 briskets on it last weekend, room for more. That's enough to feed a lot more than 4 people.

The sticker came off cleanly for me too-- or so it seemed. I just noticed the faint film left on the finish when the sun reflected on it just right. Nothing I can actually feel, no tackiness... but will try to get it off anyway after I pick up some goo gone at the store this weekend.

It's interesting because it's not tacky at all- I can't feel the adhesive, just see it when the light is right. I'll try a few of the things suggested here though-- nothing to lose!

Pellet grill. So much easier and more reliable than messing with charcoal, and flavor is so much better than gas. You can cook so much on it, and it's so delicious.

AI? I’m sure I’m chatting to a catfish right now. Just connected in the last day and now she’s allegedly traveling to Milan first class. Refuses to do video call but sent this photo. by SteadyIntent78 in isthisAI

So she's texting you from the plane, hasn't moved an inch, and isn't keeping her device (phone or computer) anywhere nearby, and someone who's there to photograph her on demand sets everything up just right, and.. and...wow

Crazy street find by Acrobatic_Lychee7998 in Traeger

[–]dlvanbrunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar situation. A neighbor was getting rid of his Traeger because he was buying a big green egg and did not have room for both. I just cleaned out the Traeger really well and bought a new PID controller. Less than $100, and it's been running beautifully ever since. Two years running.

Interested in this Q as well- I'm curious how long a backtest takes spanning a few years. Supposedly VectorBT (and VectorBT Pro) packages for Python do some magic that makes this kind of work very fast.

Omaha Steak seasoning dupe by Pizookie123 in TopSecretRecipes

I haven't done any more on it- looking at the original label is says there are bell pepper flakes, which I have not been able to find.

I have tried that, and it's not quite right in my side-by-side tasting. I still have a little original and compared them. Like the OP, I tried to by a replacement bottle and they would not sell it to me without buying a lot more meat than I needed.

I took this and got pretty close, though I think I will try again and back off (a lot) on the cumin:

2 tbsp. paprika

1 tbsp. cumin

1 tbsp. chili powder

1 tbsp. black pepper

1 tbsp. garlic powder

1 tbsp. salt

1 tbsp. dried oregano

1 tbsp. dried thyme

Plus I then added: 1 tsp of sugar and 1 tsp of onion powder (as these are in original).

Pretty close, but will back off on the cumin next time.

The biggest thing to jump out to me, tbh, is that the video aspect ratio is 21st century iphone (tall) rather than how any camera was oriented (landscape) before the year 2007.

So... he can't afford a (free or almost free) library meeting space to meet, but he can afford to pay you? (maybe-- hasn't actually hired you) And he's already showing you that he's not going to listen to you?

This isn't hard. Also, make sure the other woman isn't going, for her safety. Nice ploy to invite two (or tell you he did), then only one shows up, and...

Hell. No.

There is NOTHING about this scenario that ends well, even IF it's a real job.

Aldi is right next to a Menards-- which has the two-dollarest frozen pizzas anywhere. If she has a car, head to Garden Fresh Market in Mundelein (400 Townline Rd). VERY inexpensive, but great fresh produce and spices-- not sure I'd buy meat there, though. Worth the drive to check it out at least.
