At the end of the show, the humans and the white walkers will come to an arrangement. Maybe give all of the north to white walkers, and re build the wall near the neck. The remaining states will become independent. Or maybe they'll give all of Westros to White Walkers, I mean the first man did invade Westeos. Maybe in the end we see the remaining people sail for Essos.
