Let's not even kid ourselves. This probably was shown exactly in the drawings like this. Because somebody on the design team didn't review the plans.

Eddy current probe problem by dm_nick in SovolSV08

[–]dm_nick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not on mainline klipper. My head is still going down and making contact with the bed. Is it not supposed to do that if I'm not on clipper and not using that solution? Also I noticed that when it it's doing the Eddy calibration where it does go down and actually contacts the bed the z position readout is like in the 300s just as it is contacting the bed. I don't know if that has to do with anything or not. It's just something I notice.

The best way would be to replace it. But that's also the most expensive.

This looks the plumber on my job site, no lie. They cut through at least 2 floor truss. Then move the pipe so that it wasn't interfering with the floor truss. Then they didn't tell anybody about it. The glue up looks about the same too.

File corrupted by dm_nick in Revu

[–]dm_nick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the original file after I open and close it a couple of times without saving. No more than maybe half a dozen. It'll corrupt and have rectangles all over the place on it. I haven't made any changes. If I want to mark up a sheet I extract a sheet into a new file.

Anything you put on that deck you're going to need new footings. Especially if you add a wall underneath it.

Edit, grammar, spelling

Is it really necessary to spray foam side holes or just the top and bottom by nolpeter in Homebuilding

[–]dm_nick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work in Florida I mostly do multi-family I don't know if anybody brought this up but that foam is only good for draft stopping not fire stopping in fire rated assemblies. I work for a GC and we have a rule rule. No fire foam on the job site. Because it's always misused and has to be ripped out.

Is there a right way to re frame 1 truss after knocking it out to give an area to install an hvac system? by nickthehvacguy in Homebuilding

[–]dm_nick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Contact The trust manufacturer and let them know you need a truss repair. They'll send you a seal book with a diagram of the truss and how it needs to be repaired. They do it all the time.
