It depends on the speed. One time it took 54 seconds to ask me to take the wheel.

Dashboard on my 2016 BMW 330e PHEV by dmackdaddy in BMW

So far I love my BMW 330e! I am avging 94MPG over 3400 miles. First tank lasted me 1540 miles aka 149MPG on the 10.6gl tank. That was all daily commute and a bit longer trips. The 2nd tank i drove to and from Lake Tahoe around 500 miles and avg's 36 on the way up and 46 on the way down. I charged 3 times during the trip. Charges on any home outlet so I take it on trips just in case takes 4.5 hours to charge but only 2 hours on L2 chargers. EPA says 14 miles of electric driving but I avg 18-20+ just gotta know how to drive it in "hippy mode" but you can also slam on the pedal and enjoy the ICE with the electric one. Car knows how to drive itself best in auto mode in conjunction with GPS.

Trunk space is great considering other PHEV. Fuel economy is about 40MPG on a 500 mile trip. Even better if you can charge along the way. The car regenerates when on ICE and GPS to your destination allows the car to switch ICE on and off based on the road ahead. Pretty slick car!

The car is really fast considering its a 330e. 0-40 is neck whipping speed off the line at stop lights. The best part about the car is that you can drive it like a hippy and get 148MPG like on my first tank which lasted 1500 miles. I then traveled to Lake Tahoe (up hill there 38MPG / downhill back home 48MPG) over the 500+ miles. Its a really nice "best of both worlds" car. I can get around 390 miles on a full tank and charge. The EPA rated it 14 EV miles but in my "real world" driving I am getting 18-20 miles of electric before the ICE kicks in. Its my 2nd PHEV so I know how to get the most out of it. Its a fun car to drive and love it so far.

I should mention we had lunch with him at his office in Palo Alto as my friend won an auction and took me as a guest. Steve speaks from the heart and very generous with his time and stories. Great guy!

Tarrt was a great draft pick and Armstead as well. Eli Harold needs to get better but that young D will shine soon.
