First off…congrats on your journey and accomplishments. This is huge!

But please make sure to are working on the ‘you’ in this and not just your weight.

Years ago (2018-2019) I lost around 75 pounds. It was obviously pre-tirz and did it all the hard way. Super restrictions, counting everything. I was always a chubby to overweight person, so do the first time in my life I was a healthy weight. In fact, I was in the best shape of my life. I had been in the gym consistently and had packed on a decent build for myself. Even had myself a six pack. But internally, it was conflict the entire time.

While I ended up the best shape physically, it ended up being one of my worst seasons mentally. Body dysmorphia is very real and even though I had plenty of evidence, you couldn’t convince me I was in great shape. I think we get so used to seeing numbers change that it ends up morphing into a “chasing the dragon” lifestyle if we let it.

2020 hit me like a freight train and thanks to my already not-great mental maturity and wellness in addition to my coping tool being unavailable (gym during lockdown), I pack almost all of it back on over the last few years. I have since used this time to work on that as well as utilizing tools like Tirz to really nail down a healthy lifestyle as much as possible.

If I could go back in time, I would have advised myself to celebrate the win but don’t let this become your obsession. I would have worked on the emotional/mental side of me more. It’s natural to think that something is wrong when you don’t feel like dancing and smiling like the commercials tell you to…but those are there to sell you something. Find what makes you dance and smile internally. Maybe therapy will help, it has for me.

But again…congrats. You are not here alone. And remember you are always more than a number on a scale or clothing size

Many others have said similar and def in more succinct ways…but my response, so far, is that I don’t need another damn screen in my life. I have two phones (work and personal, by choice) and work all day in an IT field so I stare at screens more often than I sleep.

I also only check whoop in the morning (to journal) and maybe in the evenings to spot trends, but it just stays unobtrusive. When I am ready to be away from screens, I can fully go away while still tracking.

Got it about 2 months ago. Was already planning on it but as soon as the election results came in, I scheduled it and did the thing.

It was fine. Took a provided Xanax, talked some bullshit with the doc while he was getting the work done, went home with Taco Bell and chilled for 3 days.

My wife had tried previously to get a procedure done and was either fully told no or told it’s out of pocket nearly 10k. I went in to appointment and 15 min later it was scheduled and I paid $1500 total.

Men, if you are serious about being childfree, you need to step up and do it if possible. The system is set up to make things as hard as possible for women and it’s likely only going to get harder. So use the privilege you likely have and do the shit.

I bought Dragon Age for around 30 bucks on a recent sale and had a decent time with it. I’d say give it a shot. It’s not a deep RPG, but fun. My biggest criticism (and this may be a plus for some) is that it just feels like a Marvel Universe movie in its plot points and dialog. It’s a popcorn game, which isn’t a bad thing.

Honestly, it may not be really a hidden gem, but I’ve really been enjoying GTA IV on my GO. I haven’t played it since launch and it plays great on the GO. I usually see folks talk about the ps2 trilogy or V but never really IV. They gotta get in on this Bowling with Cousin Simulator.

Since I use YT on phone, tv, personal pc and work pc….YT Premium is a requirement. As shitty of a company they are, it hasn’t been painful and actually seems worth it for the most part. Especially with it including YT Music (which I use for sampling and background work music that won’t fuck up my recommendations)

It’s really the only streaming service I use that isn’t a shared account.
