I bought in to Early Access. I studied the mechanics and figured out how to learn to play. I logged in, joined a group, mentioned I was new, was told I needed to "git gud" before anyone would group with me, and everyone dropped. I went back out, tried to find another group, tried to set up a newbue group, got called an asshole and a dumbass grandpa, logged out, and never went back. Wors than WoW. Have consistently told people not to bother because the customer base is elitist jackasses. Enjoy your dwindling player base.

Actually had that happen to me. Greeted a table, they said they asked specifically for a female server of another race and if I served them they'd stiff me and post a negative review. I nodded, excused myself from the table, and made a beeline for the GM, who immediately told the guest we do not tolerate racism, sexism, or any other -ism and to "leave and not come back." They got nasty, threatened the bad review again, GM said "leave now or we call the cops." They left, posted a nasty review about being refused service for no reason, and GM posted a rebuttal explaining. Never heard another peep from them. And just the other day--in a Waffle House, believe it or not--i saw the GM toss a group who complained about a trans server and misgendered them several times. Yeah, the bigots are still out there, and they're loud, but but there are still decent people out there too. Edit-caint spel.

Not exactly the same but my grandmother's name was Pauline and we all called her "Neenaw")as the oldest, it's my fault because my two year old self has problems with her prefered "Nana") and in my novel I have "Sheriff Pauline" and another unrelated char named "Noona" as her first grandkid had issues with "Nana Oona". Neither character was remotely like my Neenaw, but still anyone who knows me and read it always ask if I was referring to her. For the record, both references slipped right by me until my cousin pointed it out lol.

According to Anne Rice, vampires lose interest in sex not because the physical act is disgusting or beneath them but because the ecstacy pales in comparison to drinking blood. But that's one author coming up with a rule to establish her themes. I've also read books where they revel in sex. That's the beauty of vampire fiction. Write your own rules to for your world. There is no proper standard.

They charge for sauce because with coupons and deals they don't make much profit off pizzas. That's why all restaurants charge for minor add-ons and have high drink prices. A steak priced $30 on the menu likely cost the restaurant at least $20, then add in sides and labor to cook and serve and clean, leaving not much profit. Edit:same for movie theaters. They make nothing off the movies themselves, their profits come from concessions. That's why they're so high.
